Item pictured is rear shock - description for Front - Work great
Item pictured with loops at both ends is for rear shocks, so ordered based on picture. When arrived I located the actual rear shocks in Amazon and they had picture of the front shocks. These REAR picture actual FRONTfound REAR pictured with FRONT "Monroe 58411 Sensa-Trac Shock Absorber"...Any rate kept and used for front of 81 El Camino... turns out works great.I was installing new springs and with these give a great or impressive stance and still have a good ride. I expected being overload might be more stiff than needed on the front but work great... in addition improves the cornering feel.

They helped alot.
They were just as easy to install as standard gas shocks. They firmed up my front end quite a bit. I could have used another 1/2" of lift, but they will work for me.

You will be sorry you did like me. Unless you are hauling lots of weight ...
If you are purchasing these for the front of your S10 Blazer,..DON'T ! ! You will be sorry you did like me. Unless you are hauling lots of weight all the time, it is not necessary to have coil over shocks for the front. I purchased 4 of these for my 88 S10 Blazer and it bounces really bad when you drive over ruts and bumps. It's almost Dangerous. They are fine for the back if you are towing a trailer, but trust me,..you don't need them for the front too. Get a good pair of gas shocks for the front.

so with my shocks, in the box there were ...
so with my shocks, in the box there were two paper bags. the first bag was sealed and empty. the other bag was sealed and had the proper parts. Well, the proper parts include two bushings with washers and ONE nut, yes just one regular ol nut. I will replace it with either a nylon locking nut or two nuts to lock it in, as i don't trust just one regular nut. I also am using my old bushings because i have the right ammount of them. Other than that, the shocks are nowhere near as stiff as any other shock I've put on my truck, but have way more bounce. Ihave no problems with bottoming or topping out, so it will justhave to be something to get used to.

Good shocks
I bought a pair of these shocks almost 40years ago to use on my Nova. Bought this pair for a 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass. They stiffen up the front suspension & seem to add some lift also. Love these shocks!

Great to the money
Raised front end 1" and stabilized driving. Cheaper than new springs. How long they will last demand to be seen !
