The OEM Canon 055H black high-capacity toner is the only toner I'd recommend for a Canon laser printer. I've tried numerous alternatives and have always been disappointed; only to return to the Canon OEM toner. The downside is that the Canon OEM toner is spendy. The upside is that the Canon OEM toner works flawlessly 100% of the time. The problem with using alternatives is that nearly every printing requires black toner; making this hi-cap black toner the essential toner to keep your laser printer running properly. This means that I've only had lasting-luck using other color alternative toners for the Cyan, Yellow, or Magenta if I also pair them for use with the OEM Canon 055H black. Also, this is the real-deal Canon product with a factory-sealed hologram box to certify its authenticity. I've just had to print countless documents throughout my career & have learned through years of trial & error, and anecdotal experience that you'll save yourself time, money & aggravation by using Canon's OEM high-capacity black toner for your Canon color laser printer.

We have a Canon mf743cdw printer for a small business. We tend to go through a lot of toner. I’ve tried to use off brand toners and the quality is sub par. Although expensive we reverted back to this brand. The printer is now making clear copies and printing crisper. Highly suggest to stick with this product esp. if you run a small business the H for higher yield of printing is worth the extra money.

Avoid buying toner from EBay. I did that. Last September I purchased a toner cartridge(black) messed up the printed pages and messed up my computer. The yellow, magenta and cyan were ok, the damage was blamed to a toner cartridge that I purchased from EBay. The toner was Canon stuff, OLDE stuff consequently it screwed my printer. Buy from Amazon, their toner is fresh and they will replace it if it messes your printer. The seller from Ebay will not even send a letter of apology. Buyer beware!

Great, but too expensive

The toner cartridge fits well and does the job. THE PRICE IS ABOUT 3 TIMES TO HIGH FROM WHAT IT NEEDS TO BE. I have decided to not buy anymore toner cartridges and just let what I have run out, when there finished I will throughout the printer as it way too expensive to run. Don't be fooled by ads saying the Lazer printer is better than the Ink Jet type. My HP 9025 will print circles around this Cannon printer that has had a blue hue on all pages printed since I purchased it. The quality of the printing from my HP is as good or better than the Cannon.

Prints lots of pictures and copies.

I purchased non-Canon toner in early 2021 which worked great until this summer. Then "insert toner cartridge" and "an error occurred during data communication" errors occurred. I read that buying one actually cannon toner might fix this and the price difference between the normal vs high capacity made more sense to get the high capacity if I am stuck with the expensive stuff. Well it did not fix the issue. In the end I was able to warranty replacement the non-Canon toner which was half the price of this black toner only for all 4 high-capacity toner.

Get only OEM toner for your Canon printer. Pass on the no name brand crap out there. This will save you lots of grief!
