This will clear out your sinuses….
I used to be able to get this at a local gourmet grocery, but no more. It’s just a marvelous very hot mustard and I’m very happy to be able to order it. A little goes a long way, so you need to like mustard.

The Best Mustard in the World
Pommery's mustards are simply the best. You get what you pay for. The rubber lid is a later improvement which is designed to keep the mustard perfectly fresh over the long haul in the fridge. It can be a challenge to open at first but here is the secret: slip a butter knife in between the crock and the lid and it lifts right off with ease. I use the back edge of the knife rather than the cutting edge. The crocks are beautiful and make wonderful kitchen containers. To remove the label, soak in hot water for about ten minutes and you can scrape the labels off with a fingernail or a knife. The tough glue will remain on the crock. Here's how to get the glue off effortlessly. Simply coat it with a nice oily peanut butter and let it sit for twenty minutes. (Yes, peanut butter - but not heavily processed sugary stuff - the natural kind that has only peanuts with their natural oils) You will be astonished to see that when you clean off the peanut butter afterwards, all the glue comes off with it. Any remaining bits come off easily with a fingernail or knife. Try it. You will be amazed. The crock is worth the price of the mustard. The mustard is a bonus.

Green…meh
I’m more a fan of the one with the yellow label…which is amazing.

Deliciously Spicy
Just received today. The pot was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. No rancidness, no difficulty getting the top off, no cracks or broken pieces like other reviewers experienced. The mustard is smooth, rather than grainy, and though it does not have discernible green peppercorns in it, it is quite delicious. It has a fresh spicy bite, similar to wasabi, but with a distinct tang. I used it with smoked sausage and a French baguette, and the result was delectable. If you don’t like spicy mustard, this may not be for you. However, bread tempers the heat a bit, and it’s really fantastic with smoked meat. I will be ordering more flavors of this excellent condiment. Highly recommended.

Best mustard in the world, IMHO. But not a cheap condiment.
I have enjoyed this mustard for many years. I love the green peppercorn flavor.... I think that this mustard is the best mustard in the world. I've tried hundreds of different mustards, I used to order from the mustard museum. It is just the best. If you are not put off by strong mustards or green peppercorn, give it a try. You might agree with me, but unfortunately, this makes your hot dogs more expensive. This stuff is not cheap. But it is worth it.

Recipe needs revision, not the typical French regard for finesse in food
Overwhelmingly overpowering with green peppercorn "burn". No flavor, just capsaicin like burn from the equivalent of putting a very hot hot sauce on one's tongue. Very unpleasant, threw it away after one sample.

A Rare Flavor In Classic French Mustard
I have bought classic Pommery 17th C French mustard for years, but only came across this one a few months ago. To my palette it combines the aromatic qualities of Old World mustard with the fire of American chili sauce. Not for the unadventurous!
