Bought as nostalgic present and very well received

The book was expensive at about £12.00 and it is poor! You have to destroy the cover to cut the dolls out - they are so thin you have to back them with card and (for me) they ae impossible to cut out neatly - there is no guide and they're on a really dark background. I bought it as a gift so really disappointed.

Since I bought it online, I couldn't see that the dolls are on the front and back cover - so you have to cut up the cover of the book. Generally, you'd want to retain something like a folder to keep the dolls and clothing somewhere - but you cannot since you're meant to cut it up. Also, the paper for the paper clothing is like a glossy thin paper, which just out of preference I didn't like. Further to this, it would have been much better if the book was perforated. It actually takes away from the memory of the old paper doll books. I thought it wouldn't bother me BUT it really did! The other issue is that it's an A4 sized book. Therefore, everything is smaller than the old paper school books(that I had, which were somewhere between A4 and A3), and cutting is then a REALLY painstaking - so it takes all the enjoyment out of the idea of even doing it. So, I won't be - I'd rather send this back and get a credit for the purchase. It was VERY disappointing.

Vintage stylish paper dolls. My mom enjoyed cutting these out. Nice booklet.
