Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Soft Core, Perfect for Sketching, Drawing, Art, Coloring, Assorted, 24 Count

Prismacolor are superb colored pencils. There are certainly other brands better but for the price, I think they’re great. They have so so many shades. The actual pencil colors rarely break when being sharpened and they sharpen to a pin point. If you’re a serious artist and can afford it, I would suggest getting the higher count boxes as the colors are dazzling and helps your work tremendously.

I just got these a couple of days ago for my new journaling and drawing bible. I've searched all over for the perfect highlighters, markers, pens, etc. I was so excited when they arrived I opened the box right away and immediately put them to the test! Wow a few days later I'm still impressed! My previous pencils would tear the thin pages of my Bible. The trips were too hard. And my previous highlighters would feel waxy like crayons, and my previous pens would bleed thru the page even though they were marketed for thin bible pages and that they wouldn't bleed. But they did!! I think I finally found my perfect Bible marking tool! These pencils as brilliant enough I can use for highlighting passages in my book and the colors are vibrant enough I love using them to color in my Bible and take notes as I meditate on when I just read. They're perfect! 😍

If you want the softest, smoothest covering and great watercolor pencils….get Prismacolor. I’ve tried 3 other brands and nothing compares.

These color pencils are super pigmented and go on super smoothly! I did a bunch of tests with them coloring both lightly and with more pressure to see how both applications of it would look. I also tested them against different brands to see how they would hold up and was very satisfied by the results.The pros are that the colors are very vibrant, and apply super smoothly. They don't have that "chalky" look that some other cheaper colored pencils have.I also found that you don't have to press too hard to get color payoff. Previously I only used casual and cheaper colored pencils which required me to apply a lot of pressure to get the pigment I was looking for but that's not a problem with these Prismacolor pencils.Mixing colors to create gradients is super easy and the colors really blend together in a seamless way.There is also a wide array of colors and shades available in this kit that is great for someone who needs a pack that covers all the bases.My main cons are the price point. The quality of the pencils are fantastic so I don't regret the purchase but I do wish they weren't so expensive.And lastly it's more of a nitpick, but I wish the colored pencils were arranged in color order. The colored pencils don't appear to be in any order, but again it's not a deal breaker, just a slight annoyance.Overall I'm super pleased with these! I'd definitely recommend them for casual and professional artists.
