Signature Enamelled Cast Iron Saucepan, for All Hob Types, 18 cm, 1.8 litres, Volcanic

This Le Creuset item is very good for induction hobs. When we first got our new hobs (we switched from a gas system), most of our pots were not effective on it. This pot goes beyond effective, it is perfect. Its a lovely piece of equipment and it will last a while. Lovely colour selection. This pot is always first to go on the hobs as it is so handy. It's easy to clean and easy to see anything stuck on the inside. It's a good size, and can fit quite a lot in it. It's bigger and heavier than all our other pots and pans. Value for money overall is good, as you know you're getting a quality product with Le Creuset, although it does cost a bit of money.

Love this enamel pot so easy to keep clean. I read the care instructions many times to ensure I didn't damage the enamel as that would be an expensive mistake. Pot is heavy but it holds a good amount, food heats beautifully even at medium level. Wait till pot cools and matches temperature of water before cleaning. If food sticks I use the enamel spray, only a small amount. Pot for life needs to be cared for.

I purchased this small pot for my daily porridge as I wanted to get rid of the non stick for ever living chemicals. I admit that the device has changed my porridge routine as I now cook a 2-3 days supply instead of a daily one, as the after cooking cleaning is a bit of a chore. I can’t complain of the end result given the unique heat retention, but you should factor those in. I also believe that my black Friday purchase was a second, as there were couple small defects.

This beautiful saucepan arrived super-quickly (thank you) & I would love to have been able to keep/use it ; unfortunately, the base-diameter of the '16cm pan' is probably nearer 14cm so not-suitable for use on the small (15cm) ring of my induction hob. I did try to find this information prior to ordering, but this particular specification does not seem to feature highly in the descriptions. Sadly, am now in process of returning it..

Your certainly paying more for the brand but this incredibly heavy cast iron pan will probably last a lifetime and I love the volcanic colour. And at the time of purchase the price was considerably lower than John Lewis.
