I bought this bag because I walk to Yoga and wanted to make sure it would stay dry in rain, snow, or anything else. It does that well and it's a similar material to other waterproof outerwear/outdoor products. The strap is comfortable and it's easy to get my 71” x 24”; 5 mm thick Manduka PROlite mat in there. My only problem, which is very minor, is the nob that holds the laces in place used to pull the top shut broken off one day at the studio. I pulled at it with the same force I always do, so it could have been more sturdy there since you'll be doing this quite a bit. But I've just started tying the laces in a loose knot and that does the job. Other than that, it works quite well. I don't use the extra pocket so I can't say how useful that is. I bring a small towel so I carry that along with my phone and keys in another bag so I don't need the pocket.

I got this mat bag for schlepping my yoga mat to class on my bike in the rainy weather. It does a great job at keeping my mat dry! I also find the key fob on the outside really handy. My only wishes about this bag are: 1) that it came in more colors; 2) that the pocket on the outside was slightly larger (right now, it's large enough to hold an ID, but not a whole wallet; and 3) that it came in more sizes to accommodate extra thick mats. But for a basic mat bag that keeps your mat dry in wet weather, it does the trick!

Since I walk to my yoga classes this bag is exactly what I was looking for. It's not as adorable as the fancy batik ones I've seen but it is nicer looking than it is in the photo. I was expecting an unattractive thick material but this is the same nylon that you'd expect from a typical rain jacket. The color I received is not the bright blue as shown in the picture. It is a very nice dark dusky purplish blue (or very dark lavender or indigo). It'd make a great unisex bag but some guys might have an issue with the small water lily logo. Performance-wise this is exactly what I wanted. I'm lazy when I roll my mat and I was concerned that I'd have to roll it extra tightly to fit it into a bag but I can be just as lax as always. It easily holds my mat (24"x69") without me having to shove or struggle to squeeze it in. So I think it would be fine for extra thick mats as well. The pocket is small; it is just big enough to hold my iPhone 4 but it doesn't bother me because I always carry a bag. Another consideration is comfort. Sometimes straps on bags are painful and dig into the shoulder but this one is wide and soft enough that it hasn't bothered me. I'm giving a five star because this bag is much nicer in appearance, comfort and size than what I expected from the product description.

Needed a water resistant yoga bag for walking to class. Does a good job but strap is not real stable. It seems to fold and twist.

This is a practical yoga bag at a practical price. It's strong enough to house my yoga mat so that my cats can't scratch it. It is convenient to carry to class and unpacks quickly and easily. I am happy with it!

I bought this item because of key-words like Hot Yoga and waterproof. This is bag not waterproof. In you put your mat in it after taking a hot yoga class it will leak. I found out the hard way. I took it for granted the bag was waterproof and it leaked every where in my car.
