SO MANY PEAS
I was not prepared for how productive these peas were going to be.I planted them as part of a three sisters garden, and they took off right away, twining up the growing corn stalks. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast they started blooming -- some of them had white flowers, and some had gorgeous purple ones. Then the peas started. Every other day, I'd go out and come in with a huge bowl of peas. We would have been in some pretty serious trouble if the peas hadn't been as tasty as they were, but I'll put it this way -- my meat and potatoes roommate who will not TOUCH a vegetable put aside his potato chips and chowed down on peas dipped in ranch dressing.I would definitely recommend these seeds to anyone. If I can grow them, anyone can, and if my roommate likes them, I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't.One thing to note: Peas are very much a springtime plant. In hot California, where I live, the sun has started to take its toll on my poor plants, and production is dropping off.

Excellent germination rate
Excellent germination rate. As a reference, I’m in New England area. Plant the seeds indoor for start since May 1st, got almost all germinated May 6th.Update:I purchased another 2 packs of the seeds. I don’t know how many seeds are suppose in 1 package. In one of the pack I received there are 52 seeds, the other one only have 34 seeds.Update:Great taste! Fresh and sweet .

At Pacific Northwest location they germinate in the sun and not in shade, as label says.
Well, they took a while (a week or so) to poke above the soil, but I can say that all the seeds that were planted in an area that got sunlight most of the day germinated, but the ones planted in a mostly shaded area did not. So, the label instructions mean exactly what they say and should be followed. (I purposely planted a row where most of the row is in the sun but some if it is in the shade just to see what would happen.)

It has only been 3 days...
My black thumb of death is turning green according to my Sugar Pod Peas. They love me! I planted these in a container that is about 10 inches deep and 8 inches across. I only planted 5 seeds in this pot. My "soil" consists of a little bit of compost, peat, coco coir and a little bit of grass bits -- these guys have sprouted in only 3 days in my greenhouse. Outside of the greenhouse, it's about 110 degrees, but inside the greenhouse, it's humid (about 70%) and 88 degrees. This has been the best year ever in regards to planting and growing my own food and I couldn't have done it without great seeds, so thank you!

Happy winter plant babies
I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed these yet. These were amazingly prolific. Planted with granular inoculant in September and basically forgot about them until I stepped outside over the holidays and saw 8 plants in one 5lb grow bag existing happily with both mature pods (thanks for the seeds!) and baby pods which I’ve spent weeks munching on as I get my spring garden ready. It’s now March and they don’t seem to be slowing down. Excellent fall crop. Germination was great!I’m in 9b, so freezing temps, but no snow.

Item not quite as described....
At first, I was genuinely happy with this purchase. High germination rate and plants sprouted and grew quickly. However, I made this particular purchase based on the item description: "A reliable bush pea, it does not need trellising". What I received is not a bush variety and does indeed need trellising. Very disappointed because that was the basis of my purchase. I've always been very happy with this company, but this was a flop for me. I am giving 3 stars because of the high germination rate and overall plant production. Expect a lot of peas, but also expect to need a trellis.

Late in the season
Didn't expect much for these since my soil tends to be hit or miss with veggies. Mostly due to the fact the are I plant can sometimes flood. I planted these in a row and very quickly had sprouts. Not all the seeds but a good amount. Hoping to see how they turn out, especially so late in the season. Will update in the fall.

They grow well!
I shared these seeds among three classrooms for science. I started one class with 4 cups, 4 seeds in each cup.the other classes just used a few seeds for one classroom cup.My plant started growing right away, and after about 2 months I have pea pods! I look forward to transferring these into my garden.the second glass took two months to sprout, and the third never sprouted (although that one was overwatered lol ).
