Q: Would this take the weight of a cat sat and jumping on top of?

Hi. We would like to thank you for having an interest in our Light of Tree bedside lamp. The lamp size is too small for a grow-up cat to sit on top. Also, it might not able to take the weight of a small cat. We recommend it is better not to put anything on top to protect the lamp from getting damaged.

Q: Can i connect a Google home mini to it and make it Google assistant enabled?

This item is a Bluetooth Speaker so you can connect it to a Google home mini (Which was quite recently renamed by Google to "Nest Mini") in the Google Home iPhone or Android App, In Your Google Home Mini (Nest Mini's) Bluetooth Settings/Devices in the Home app. Once setup Your commands and music request will then output through the lamp speaker as long as your original Mini device is close by enough to hear the initial commands. Sorry if that was a little confhsing. Of on a tangent now.,Google really should stick with names or decide to begin with. Google mail then Gmail. Google Music, Google Play Music then YouTube Music. YouTube Music Key, YouTube Red then YouTube Premium. Google Talk, Google+ Hangouts, Google Voice, Google Chat, Google Meet, Google Duo. Google TV then Android TV, then back to Google TV lol. The list goes on, they need new people in the name department. Anyway hope that helped and works for you, google may change things in future, because they stopped people able to say "Hey Google" with phone locked on Android phones so they may have stopped it through speakers or to even to connect Nest Mini's to Bluetooth speakers in the future

Q: Can you read with th this lamp

No, it is not a reading light and the brightness of this lamp is 200 lumens. But The Light of Tree has a good-night mood mode, hold the dimmer touch panel for 5 seconds, and the light will be dimmed out and turned off after 30 minutes.

Q: Is it possible to dim or turn off the blue / orange charging indicator. It’s a bit too bright.

The indicator cannot be turned off, it is used to show you whether the wireless charging is working well or nor.
