A Must-Have for Pet Parents!
This brush is AMAZING! I use it on both my golden retriever and my Siamese cat, and it works beautifully on both. It pulls out so much loose fur without irritating their skin, and they actually seem to enjoy being brushed with it. The handle is super comfortable to hold, and cleanup is easy. Definitely a must-have if you’ve got furry friends at home!

This Brush Is Fantastic
I have a long haired cat who spends the majority of his life outdoors. Due to his insanely long & soft fur, along with weather patterns, his hair very easily mats into terrible wads. I've had him shaved a fur times, right before summer, to help with the mats & it being hot outside, as I have had trouble finding a brush that is capable of pulling the mats out. Last time I took him to be shaved, my vet mentioned that I should purchase a Furminator, as they work really well. Despite his recommendation, Furminator's are very expensive for a brush, so I did a little looking & came across this brush. I have to say, I am so glad that I looked around before making a decision because this brush works so incredibly well & is much more inexpensive. So, since my cats fur is so incredibly soft, the mats that he forms are very hard to try to brush out. It's mainly his undercoat matting & just taking the rest down with it. Thanks to this, the mats are very close to his skin, which means it's difficult to just go in & try to cut them out, because I run the risk of cutting him instead of his fur. With this brush, I just place the bristles close to his skin & lightly pull out on the mats that have formed. It takes a little work & time if the mats are particularly bad, but they eventually come loose. If I gently work it, I don't hurt him, he doesn't freak out, he will just lay there & let me get them all out (even though he hates having his belly brushed). When his mats are larger, I just work my way around the outer edges, gently pulling the mats out, once there is very little mat hanging on the whole thing will just fall right off. Plus, the particular brush is perfect for preventing future mats. All I have to do is brush him two or three times a week & it pulls all his loose undercoat out, preventing more mats from forming. I would definitely suggest this for anyone who has a pet with matting fur problems, whether it be a cat or dog. The product is inexpensive, but exceptionally well made. It is also comfortable to hold & has the nifty feature of being able to remove the brush head in order to clean it, if necessary. & the best part is, it doesn't hurt my cat when I'm having to pull out stubborn mats, as it works the mats out so gently.

Works great to remove dog hair on short and long hair dogs, BUT there are better options for the money!!
Pros: - Works well and removes a lot of pet hair - Replaceable/removable blade - Lightweight Cons: - Plastic construction is lightweight, but doesn't feel as premium or high quality as some competitors - Blade has sharper teeth, which can irritate your dog's skin - Potentially better options at this price point Personal Experience: I left a separate review for the Hair Hero, which is essentially the same product but with complete stainless steel construction and is in my opinion a superior brush (feel free to check out my other reviews). I was on a mission to find the best dog brush. My wife and I have a Rat Terrier (similar to a Jack Russell terrier) and a Yorkie/Miniature Shnauzer mix. We consider ourselves the perfect "testers" for something like this because we have both a short hair and a long hair dog. We love our rat terrier, but he sheds his short little white coat approximately 4 times a year, and our Yorkie mix gets knots in her undercoat constantly. We had only purchased simple silicone dog combs or normal narrow bristled brushes in the past to use on our dogs, and they never worked well. Finally we decided to do some research and try out a few brushes. We tried this brush, the Furminator, the Hair Hero, along with a few of the other competitors (other generic brushes that look identical). After trying them all, we concluded that the Hair Hero was the best. Honestly, many of the brushes are extremely similar and I would not be surprised if many of them come from the exact same manufacturer that just brands them differently at the end of the production process. The majority of the brushes all use a 4 inch brush blade with narrowly spaced teeth to achieve its purposes. However, when all is said and done, the Hair Hero is not only priced better than many of its competitors, its stainless steel construction feels much more durable, high quality, and easy to use than its competitors. Many of the other competitors use variations of plastic and some rubber on the handles (including this one). And even though results may be similar among some of the other models, we felt that the Hair Hero still worked slightly better because its teeth on the brush were slightly more rounded, thus it was less irritating on the skin of our dog. Conclusion: Works well to remove large amounts of dog hair that normal brushes will not be able to. However, there are better options available for the price point that utilize a more solid construction (instead of plastic and rubber), and have slightly more refined edges on the brush teeth to protect against aggravating your dog's skin.

Game-Changer for Shedding Season!
As a dog mom of two very fluffy pups (Australian Shepherd + Golden Retriever = tumbleweeds of fur daily 😅), I’ve tried more deshedding tools than I can count. This one? Total winner. Here’s what I love: ✔️ Super easy to use – The ergonomic handle makes it comfortable to hold, even for longer grooming sessions. ✔️ Impressively effective – It pulls out the undercoat without damaging the top coat. My dogs actually like it. ✔️ Less fur, less vacuuming – After just 10 minutes of brushing, I had enough loose fur to build a whole new dog. 😆 Pro Tips for Best Results: 🐾 Use it after a bath or when your dog is dry and clean — it glides through the fur better. 🐾 Go gently, especially around bony areas like hips and ribs. 🐾 Short daily sessions beat one long weekly battle. My pups are less wiggly when I make it a habit. 🐾 Toss the fur in the compost or outside — birds love it for nesting! It’s honestly made grooming less of a chore and more of a bonding time. Plus, way fewer furballs on my clothes and couch. Highly recommend to all fellow dog parents, especially during heavy shedding seasons (hello, spring and fall)! 🐶✨

She's a beautiful Maine Coon
I would give this product 10 stars if I could. I got this product specifically to comb one of my brother's cats, Callie. She's a beautiful Maine Coon, but her fur was a mess. This pet grooming tool did a fantastic job. I was at the point where I seriously considered clipping the mats out of her fur and just leaving the bare spots. But I found this while surfing thru Amazon looking for a solution. I opened the grooming tool up at my house and thought "what the heck, I'll try it on one of my cats". Arnie, my oldest (and most skittish) cat. Arnie is a short haired tabby cat, so it wouldn't be a challenge to use this on him. Much to my surprise, Arnie loved the combing and purred during his grooming session. But the real test would be Callie, with her long matted fur. I was hesitant to use this on Callie, afraid I might hurt her by pulling out the tangles. The Dakcorp deshedding tool performed beyond my wildest dreams. I could remove Callie's tangles with a gentle tug. The comb gradually teased out the matted hair. Callie didn't fuss or resist, she said still for her grooming session. In fact, she wanted me to continue it even after she had reaped the grooming benefits of the tool. So because Callie is such a sweet cat, I continued to brush her for about 20 minutes more. I had to stop because Shadow, one of the other cats, decided he wanted to be groomed, too. So I groomed Shadow and he hung around while another cat, Snuggles, showed up to be groomed. I have never used a grooming tool on a cat that made the other cats line up to be combed. I was really impressed with this product and the company. I recommend this tool for anybody who has a pet that needs to be groomed. Callie, Shadow and Snuggles give their paws of approval. so that is impressive.

Better for short hair, NOT long
I bought this because I have a long haired cat who sheds like crazy, and I wanted a brush to hopefully help keep it under control. It does grab hair, but the bristles are super short, so they're not able to get into his undercoat properly so it doesn't actually help with shedding. This brush works much better on my short haired cat since she doesn't have the multiple layers of fur to go through. It was easy to clean off the fur, but honestly I feel like it would have been better to just splurge the extra money on the Furminator.

DakPets Fur blaster is just the better overall deal
I'm also looking for new pet products and I was glad that this little product was part of the "better than Black Friday" prime day deals. This product is an essential tool for all pet parents who have a very furry little friend or a pet that sheds too much. For awhile now I have been ignoring my dog's grooming needs considering he is a short haired breed and doesn't really need much grooming wise. However he sheds a lot and his hair is very similar to car hair which gets on everywhere. I take him to the groomers once a month but that's just not enough so then I was told to use the furminator or similar product. The furminator is a ridiculously expensive ($50+)steel bristle comb for dogs but it does work and it helped a lot with my dog's shedding. I was so happy with it that I recommended it to all pet parents that I know but the price was always something that deter them from fully committing into buying the comb. Not knowing there were more options out there, I just kept relying on the furminator until I found DakPet's fur blaster. The fur blaster was actually nicer than the furminator because it was almost like a one size for all combs compared to the varied sizes the furminator sells. The bristles were also less sharp and gathered more hair. The comb is pretty light and feels a bit cheap but its actually pretty well made, good grip and very easy clean up. It did everything that the furminator does but at a much lower cost. Note: My original order came with a defective bristle head but customer support quickly sent out a replacement without further questioning. It's very important that all bristles are straight otherwise the product will not work as well as it should. Pros: Cheap ($23) compared to other steel bristle combs High quality bristles and easily replaceable Bristles are pointy but not sharp, will not harm the pet, pets may think its a massaging tool Lightweight, easy to hold, works on all pet sizes (actually on dogs that are at least 15 lbs+) Customer support is outstanding, my original order had a defective bristle head and they quickly mailed out a new one within a day Cons: A bit of pain when removing hair from the bristles Not sure about the spring attachment that holds the bristles, I feel that it could wear out very quickly Summary: I highly recommend this product to all pet owners. It really helps prevent further shedding and gives a nice sheen shine to a fur coat. Customer support is outstanding and will reply to your comments very quickly. I do miss the push out fur button on that the furminators have but the fur blaster is just a better deal.
