My cats absolutely L❤️VE these Catmandoo Bonito Flakes! I have been buying them for many years, and every kitty that I have ever had has loved these treats. I always buy the big bag of bonito flakes which will last about a month in my home. I typically give my kitties a treat every night before I head off to bed. I'll give them a decent-sized pinch of the flakes right on the floor, and they'll gobble them up in a few minutes! Occasionally I will sprinkle a few crushed bonito flakes over my cats dry food, which makes a great treat that they love! The Catmandoo bonito flakes have always arrived very fresh, having a beautiful pinkish tone to them. Upon opening the bag one can smell the freshness of these flakes. Since the bonito flakes are dehydrated and pressed tightly together once one opens the bag they will discover that you get a huge amount of flakes in any bag. After you open the bag to give your kitty a treat, a decent sized pinch of flakes will do, I suggest that you reseal the bag so that the remaining flakes do not spoil. Yes, even though these are dehydrated, they still can spoil. While giving these to your kitty make sure that your cat has access to a big bowl of cool fresh water. While feeding your pet any dry food you should always make sure that your kitty cat has plenty of fresh, cool water. But with all of the various dehydrated treats that are available I would caution anyone to make sure that they do not overdo it by giving your pet too many dehydrated treats. Giving you cat too many of these dry treats without allowing them to have any water may cause your kitty to become constipated. If this happens consult your vet immediately! Would be lost without these flakes. When I give them food (yes 3 of the 4 cats are extremely fussy), and they walk away when it's put down, I just sprinkle these flakes on it, and it does the trick. Thank goodness. Now one of the rate features is Freshness?? They're dried flakes how would I know if they're fresh or not?? I wish the flakes weren't so big. The previous ones I used in a jar were minced up more, and I liked that better(they don't sell that brand anymore). I just crush and crumble the bag of flakes when I get them, trying to make the pieces smaller. I have not used the flakes just as a treat for them, don't want them to get too much of it, and then it won't work to get them to eat food they don't particularly care for. Of course I will keep buying, but it would be nice if the price was a bit lower. How about giving the consumer a break now and then??

Bonito flakes are the ultimate cat treat! I can't imagine a cat that can resist them. Bonito flakes are my two cats favorite treat and they remind me quite loudly if I forgot to give them their bonito treat before bed. Huey P. Long and Wu Tang never get tired of the bonito flakes as they do other cat treats and there is nothing bad in the bonito flakes as there are in many of the commonly found cat treats. These are just flakes of bonito, nothing else added, so you know your cat is getting a safe and healthy treat. I had read on Amazon Reviews that you can purchase bonito flakes at the Asian grocery stores cheaper, so I tried that once but I noticed there was added salt...not good for my kitties and went back to CATMANDOO. The price on Amazon is very good compared to specialty pet food shops and well worth it for my precious kitties! It also lasts a long time ! The seller packed the bags well, so that the flakes arrived in very good condition.

The cat loves these bonito flakes. They smell exactly like the bonito flakes made for humans so whenever I open the bag it makes me crave takoyaki. It is a fishy scent, so if you're not familiar with the scent of bonito then it may seem strong to you, but to me it smells delicious. I ordered the 4oz bag and it is HUGE! It will certainly last a long time (I only have 1 cat). I ordered it in Jan 2018 and on the back of the bag the use by date is Jan 2019, so you have a full year to use it up. I've had the bonito flakes for 2 months now and as shown in my pictures there is still PLENTY left. Because the treat is thin and flaky of course there will be some dust at the bottom since they are delicate, but most of the bag is filled with large flakes that my cat can easily consume. It is a guilt-free treat for him because it doesn't contain any of the bad stuff (grains/carbs) that are found in other cat treats. Yes, they are expensive but I think paying $18 once a year for treats is not bad at all. I did notice my cat always drinks water after eating these, not sure why they make him thirsty but I just make sure not too give him too much at once (only a few flakes in one sitting). He probably gets about a small pinch every couple days. Two paws up from my kitty, although I do have to caveat it since he is not a picky eater and will basically eat any treat/food.

I have two cats one goes absolutely Bonkers for these salmon flakes whereas the other one does not. With that said the one that eats a salmon flakes will only eat one kind of cat food and one kind of cat food only and it is shrimp and fish mixed together in one can made by fancy face Kathmandu salmon flakes are the only other food item this cat eats he won't even eat table food so if you have a finicky cat you may want to give him some of these salmon flakes start off with a little just a little don't upset their belly cuz they will throw up and then move up to whatever you feel as though you want to give him. Enjoy your babies and love them well

We discovered bonito flakes when we were in the USA on holiday, and brought them back for our cat. She went wild for them! Unfortunately, we didn't realise how hard it would be to find them in the UK. This big bag is a lifesaver, and kitty doesn't have to suffer from withdrawal. Everybody wins.

Cats love it, but it’s MUCH too expensive. It comes from Japan (where I lived for 16 years). It costs about $3 there. $30 is too much. I understand the need to make a profit but there is no weight to this, cheap to ship. Why not charge something more reasonable, like $10-15?

I have purchased this product for my 3 cats, every month for over a decade. It's the only treat they all like. It's also an excellent 'bribe' for the cats who have to take medicine...:) I have had several suppliers over the years, but this new one shipped next day, and it arrived in just one week!

My cat is happy again! Please keep these in stock as we can't get them in the uk. My cat eats raw but being a fussy furry she turns her nose up if I don't give her a sprinkle of bonito flakes on top. They also make a great low cal natural cat treat. She'd do anything for these little flakes!

Our cats love them! one cat needs a tablet daily we hide the tablet in meats ans cheeses but sometimes he refuses either unless we add some fish flakes then he scoffs it straight away :)
