For starters, it's a really good watch - the second Tank Francaise my wife has owned in 16 years. It's sturdy, has a large face but not too bulky on a woman's wrist, easy-to-read Roman Numerals, a date window, and keeps good time. And, if the watch is not enough to speak to understated luxury, the leather signature Cartier presentation box and bound instruction guide sure do.My one proviso: the cost of maintenance. Just as other reviewers have said. Listing at $5,000+ this is not the kind of watch you'll want to take to your local watch repair shop. My wife spent $1500 in maintenance on her original Tank Francaise purchased in 2000. It stopped working 3 years ago. With an estimated repair bill of $1200, she decided to get a replacement.It's a really good watch for everyday use. But if you are going to be working in the garden, roughing it, hiking, or delivering modest day-to-day abuse to the watch, for the money there are better choices.

Love the watch - but do NOT buy from Amazon. Bought this watch as a wedding gift for my wife and stopped working after ~8 months. It took 6 weeks to get back from Swinford Jewelers (Amazon's partner for warranty) and we thought everything was fine. then ~2 months later it stopped working again. Now Amazon wants me to ship it back again and wait another 6 weeks to get the watch back. This will be a repeatable process and Amazon will not accept that an item is a lemon and just replace itPoor customer service from the house that Bezos built. Stick to cheap items through this channel

Anyone shopping for a high end watch should avoid Amazon. The item I purchased arrived and was inoperable. I attempted to return the item and it was immediately shipped back with a notice that Amazon would not take it back claiming there were scratches on the band. After numerous calls to customer service and a flurry of emails, Amazon finally informed me the watch was covered under their warranty program. I had to ship the item to their service center (at my own expense, including the intial shipment to try and return the item) and still I have no working watch for my wife to enjoy. To date I am out the cost of a very expensive watch, and the cost of two separate UPS shipments - including insurance coverage.If you are thinking of purchasing a watch on Amazon, go directly to the manufacturer. Trust me, it will save you a lot of time, frustration and effort.

My only complaint is tht I found the same product on JOMASHOP at $3,695 dlls. beside that I am satisfied with the product

was a bit worried about purchasing this watch on amazon, but the price couldnt be beat (over 20% less than at cartier) and amazon is much more reputable than other online hack shops...the watch arrived next day in perfect brand new condition...had my jewler certify and everything is great. Glad I bought it here and saved the cash. BTW, I bought from AMAZON LLC, not one of the other amazon merchants as AMAZON will give you the 2 year guarantee.

It was a big mistake to buy a Cartier watch through Amazon.com. The watch stopped working less than a month after I received it. I took it to Cartier to see if the problem was a dead battery. It was not the battery; the battery was fine, it was the watch itself. It cost over 400 dollars for repairs.

This watch is absolutely beautiful and exactly new as advertised. I was recently in Paris and this same piece was $3k more at their flagship store. WatchMaxx communicated w me directly to assist in coordinating shipping to insure my ability to receive. They were professional and expedient. Very happy with this purchase.

I purchased the watch directly from Amazon. The watch seems great and seems real; however I took it to Cartier and they told me they wanted to see the certificate of authenticity, stamped by the seller. The watch came without any certificate, and seemingly without any warranty. I am very troubled.
