Great product. Please read before you install!
I purchased these for my 21x20 garage. I wanted to do a red/black checker pattern and turn it into a game room / gym / storage space. So I ordered 7 boxes of each color which should leave me with no spares in case I mess up.The productThe tile itself is pretty sturdy and each tile is exactly 1 foot x 1 foot and it has the loops on two edges and two edges without loops.. The height is about 3/8th of an inch (slightly less than the 1/2 inch they mention).Installation1. You will read a lot of reviews mentioning how noisy the tile is. To remedy this issue, I first laid two layers of premium landscape fabric from lowe's. Costed me about $70 and it completely eliminated the noise. They are not as quiet as concrete of course but it is nothing that I even notice when I walk on it. Without the fabric I did a test and it was hollow sounding and you will hear clicks if your floor is not 100% even.2. You want to start with non looped edge where you want it to look the best. For me that was the side that faces the stairs and the side where I installed the ramps at. Snapping the tiles together is fairly simple. Make sure you use a rubber mallet as it makes things so much faster.3. From the corner you started at keep going towards the other corner. I had a support pole so I had to cut around it. At the end you typically need to start cutting one of the edges and two edges for the very last square. It is very likely that your room will not be square (mine wasn't) so I had to cut varying lengths on the same edge as needed. The "not so pretty edge" was fortunately hidden under the storage shelves. You want to keep 0.5" away from each side otherwise, it will expand in the summer and have no place to go but warp.4. Make sure you install the tiles in the correct order for your pattern. The tiles are big pain to take apart.5. Cutting the boards was fairly simple. I used a Dewalt table saw and it gave me clean finished looking edges. Around the pole, I used a combination of snips and cutter knife to score and cut.6. Pattern, this is a matter of personal choice but I opted for a 2 foot by 2 foot pattern. I thought the 1x1 pattern would look too busy. The red I noticed had more visible imperfections than the black so I made sure the not so perfect tiles are installed under the cabinets.Other installation problems:This does not really pertain to the product but to Amazon. They sent me two grey boxes instead of black. I have a lot of stored items as you can see in the picture and it took me 3 hours to empty the garage just to discover that I can't finish the job the same day due to the wrong color received. I contacted amazon and to their credit, they sent me a replacement that I received tuesday (1 day shipping). So make sure you check all the boxes before you start!!!!The product is highly recommended but I wish it had costed a little less.. Now my garage has a much more finished look and looks more inviting than before!Note this review will be submitted for the different colors available since they are all the same product.

When you need a floor really fast, and it needs to look tidy
This makes a tidy floor that is appropriate to a garage, workshop, or other similar space. They snap together easily and firmly, and are easy to cut to fit edges if needed. I mixed colors to pattern my floor (so this same reviews appears with the white product). I installed them over concrete; they are a hard plastic material, not rubbery, so there is a noticeable sound when you walk on them. That doesn't bother me for my work space, but it would be inappropriate for a location demanding a higher-quality finish (i.e. I would not use it in a laundry room inside my house, but I would use it if my laundry area was in my garage).

worked great in a two-car garage to hide previous flooring disaster/attempt!
These tiles are roughly 1/4" thick, and 12" per side (each tile is one square foot), and come in a box of 30. They're made out of a fairly hard plastic, with locking tabs around two sides. The tiles are available in several colors, which is handy as you can create a checkered pattern. They snap into each other by placing them down and then stepping on them to lock them into place. The tiles are hollow underneath, which leads to several interesting qualities... it'll "absorb"/hide water spills, but since there's room for air to move through below the tiles, it won't mold. These tiles are supposedly GREAT for basements. The other feature of being hollow, is that they're a little "loud", as compared to a solid rubber/vinyl tile or just epoxying the floor instead.Lastly they are re-usable, so you can put together a mat for use in a exhibition/show, and then take it back apart again. They're easy to clean, just sweep and if needed, mop it with soap/water.I bought these tiles to floor a two-car garage, to replace / cover-up a previous flooring installation. I had previously floored the garage with commercial vinyl tile, but found out quickly that the wear and maintenance on those types tiles don't work well in a well-utilized garage. I pulled up the old tile, which left a nasty mess of mostly-dried mastic glue, so I picked these tiles to go over that mess. The tiles went down easy, the flooring installation turned out great... it's easy to sweep off with a broom, and handles a parked car without issue.I hope this review helps.

Not what we needed . . .
Tried to use it under a portion of our carport, but it moves and bunches together when we drive the car on it. Possibly works better in a wall to wall garage, but it didn't work for us.

I love the idea of these and the installation was a breeze, however, the price is kinda ridiculous. They aren't made of anything special. No really amazing design or engineering quality to them. They are just plastic and click into each other. They were super easy to install, my kids helped and were able to install them fast with minimal supervision. It was nice that they were able to help us with our garage project and feel included. They are also super easy to cut. But the price was really high given that they are made out of plastic!!! They do have a clicking sound when you walk on them. I've noticed it is louder when wearing shoes. I also noticed that they help keep the garage floor warmer which is nice. We haven't parked our cars on them yet, but hopefully they will hold up. Our entire garage ended up costing us $1300 just for the flooring.

Came out very nice! Easy to trim pieces and put together
Put this down in our garage. Used gray and black making a pattern of 9 squares each. Came out very nice! Easy to trim pieces and put together. Start from a corner and lay in rows. Black shows every speck of dirt so I wish we had just done all gray but they were out of stock on the quantity we needed. This is kind of expensive but we figured it will last a long time!Very easy to blow out the garage or sweep stuff up on it.
