In the government quarters of Lodi Colony, New Delhi lives the Kaushik family: Railway TC Jeetendra; his dutiful wife, Priyamvada; his physically ailing but feisty mother; and the two sons – a teenage Gular, and Nakul, who is dating his upper-class office colleague Renee. News breaks out that the mother is pregnant, which comes like a shock to the entire family. To top it, they also have to deal with the social embarrassment – friends, relatives, neighbours, everyone’s gaze is now turned towards the Kaushik household.What follows is a phase of resentment and emotional confusion for Nakul as he also goes through ups-and-downs in his relationship. Torn between public embarrassment and love for his family, especially his mother, he tries to come to terms with the idea of his parents’ active sex life and the idea of family itself. Neena Gupta has always been a trailblazing actress who has lived her life on her own terms. For that, I've always had the utmost admiration for her. But I'd forgotten what a superb actress she is. I hope this film shows other filmmakers that they need to cast her in important roles! Such talent cannot go unutilised. As the mother who finds herself pregnant later in life, she is magnificent. If you are not moved by her, you have no heart. Gajraj Rao as her husband gives a fantastic performance. You can't fail to love him. Ayushmann Khurrana never gives a bad performance. He has a knack for choosing exceptional, standout projects. Surekha Sikri almost steals the entire film as the cantankerous grandmother whose story arc is perhaps the most moving and rewarding. For me though, this film is all about Neena Gupta. Come on, directors, we can't miss out on her talent. Let's see more of her! 5 out of 5. And then some. Great film
What a film! A simple story line can effect so much, we couldn't realize without seeing this film. The director and all the actors made it so special. It shows the bonding between relations such a nice way. I highly recommend this film.

Excellent funny movie
Fab film. We saw in in Jodhpur without subtitles and although we don’t speak Hindi we understood the story. Bought this so we could understand the long speeches

Movie mean entertainment. Movie mean you expect something new to watch mind blowing. But here what is this movie? Is it called a movie.. for what you waiting for two hours with a ticket of Rs.400+ in cinemas or you bought a DVD for Rs.404! What you find after watching this movie? Nothing but time waste for nothing. Why did this movie have became box-office hit.. it's still a question in mind. Yes this is because people want such type of entertainment generally happenings happens around theme. It's nothing a new thing for what it needed to tell the story of a woman became pregnant at her later age. What do Ayushyaman Khurana and Sanya Malhotra here it's beyond to understand. I have just encouraged to buy this DVD only seen performance of Ayush.. in Andhadhun. May be this movie is not of my taste so that it need not to be agreed with my opinion but it's horrible that this movie is called a block-buster. Good wishes.
