No it fits into a slot on the motherboard. You can get an external enclosure and use it like a portable ssd drive.

Q: Does it have a heatsink?

Hello. This model do not have heatsink, if you are looking for Samsung nvme with heatsink I suggest Samsung 980 PRO with heatsink, carefully that Samsung 980 have 3 different models and only one is with heatsink. Thanks
