I use this to put under mixing bowls or heavy items to prevent my granite counter from damage. It is perfect for such and can be used as a trivet for hot items as well. Easily tucks in a drawer to pull out as needed. Washes up quickly

The couple of trivets I have are on legs and tend to slip when I place hot pots on them. This Hot Pad/Trivet caught my eye because it supposed to be "No-Slip Grip", but I found it does slip on my granite countertop. The fact that it lays flat is a plus--safer than the ones on legs--but it still moves. It is so pretty. Looks great in my kitchen and is easy to clean with a damp cloth or by running under water. I wanted more than one but didn't want to pay the price on Amazon. I saw the exact same trivet on another site for more than a dollar less.ETA: This trivet is a great jar opener! Last night I was attempting to open jar without success. I grabbed the trivet off the counter, put it on top of the jar, wrapped my fingers around to twist and, voila, the lid came right off. A great alternative use for this trivet.

I've bought eight or ten of these hot pads by now, and although I occasionally have used them as hot pads at dinners, I have bought many of them to use simply as place mats. They are just big enough for the circular center of a standard dinner plate or for a bowl to protect the granite surface of my bar and the wood surface of my breakfast table after the dish comes out hot from the microwave. They don't need constant straightening because they've shifted out of place like my regular place mats do because they grip the surface on which they sit, and when they get food dripped on them and dries, I simply throw them in the top rack of the dishwasher rather than having to scrub them with a vegetable brush like I have to do with the regular place mats. The black ones are unobtrusive on the bar, and the colored ones are bright pops on the table. I am assuming they'll last just about forever because they are made of silicone, so their usefulness and longevity justify the price to me.

I’m very picky about my kitchen items and had been on the hunt for some kind of trivet or hot pad for a few months. I finally saw these and I love them! You can use them as a pot holder and also to set your hot dishes on anywhere. They are thick enough to use just one to hold even a 9x13 pan off of the counter but I still like to use two for better distribution. I wish they offered more colors but the blacks were perfect for me. I’ve already recommended to other people so I’m recommending them to you now!

Love these so tired of using cotton ones that get ugly and can burn they work well use them when I’m cooking with cast iron pans

This hot pad is pretty and functional. The quality is great. Nice and thick to protect your table and counter top surfaces from hot dishes and pans. I love that it can be washed and kept looking like new unlike cloth hot pads. I have also used it on hard to open jar lids. The grip is great. I have purchased this in 3 different colors and highly recommend it!

These are really awesome .. flexible.. and easy wash.

I actually use these as protection between my teflon coated frying pans when I stack them in my cupboard to prevent any damage to the pan underneath. These are perfect for that job and also when I take out a pan it already has the hot pad in it, so it is both easily stored and ready for use.
