Maisy's Morning on the Farm: (Maisy the Mouse's Farm Chores Adventure - A Picture Book for Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Kids Ages 2-5)

My son is obsessed with the Maisy books! They're well written and super cute. They hold up pretty well to toddler wear and tear.

My child loves the Maisy books - colors are good & my child gets excited about these as they do screen time. The packaging was lacking with my order though - they used a mailer that was too snug and the tape edge was stuck on the book upon arrival.

All the maisy books are great; clean drawings, defined characters, and an easy story -- my 3-year-old loves having several Maisy books read to her at night -- and the shortness of each one makes it easy to read multiple ones!

Bright clear illustrations, not a lot of reading. Just a nice positive fun little story to read anytime. I can read these to my son no matter how crappy I feel. Lol

All Maisy books are basic reads. My daughter loves Maisy and so do I. The characters are nice to each other. A tender book. Fun.

If you're looking to buy a Maisy book, you already know who Maisy is and how these books are written. So I'll cut to the chase, here are the themes on each of the pages: 1) Maisy notes there is a lot of work to do on the farm 2) Maisy gets chicken feed 3) Maisy feeds the chickens 4) Maisy feeds the pigs 5) Maisy notes sheep eat grass. 6) Time to milk the cow 7) Maisy milks cow. 8) Breakfast time: Maisy pours a bowl of cereal. 9) Little Black Cat gets some milk 10) Good Work! Maisy and Little Black Cat eat breakfast.

I love pretty much anything Lucy Cousins does. These are some of the only kids' books out there that have female main characters (especially female main characters that aren't frilly-frou-frou.. I want my son to grow up knowing how to put himself in a female's shoes. Research shows that reading fiction builds empathy...but what if we never empathize with female main characters? Anyway--I love these books for lots of reasons.

My kids love everything Maisy. My daughter loves animals. Put those two together and you get a win-win situation.. I wish this book was a board book, but still highly recommend it.
