I had used the flimsy cold bags that are sold in the check out lanes of the grocery store for years, simply dealing with their inadequacies and mediocre performance until they failed and fell apart. That failure provided me the opportunity to seek out a better version of a product I had come to rely on so completely for grocery shopping trips. I settled on these totes and have been very pleased, from the unboxing all the way through every shopping trip since their arrival. They are certainly better constructed, more heavy-duty, more functional and more reliable than those of the past. The insulation is thicker, the zippers more reliable and sturdy and the outside pockets are convenient for coupon storage. After one or two uses, they easily stand up and open on their own, having broken themselves in after being packed flat from the manufacturer. They easily collapse back down to store in your trunk or where ever you may keep your collection of bags. Very pleased and would highly recommend these over the cheap in-store alternative found at most grocery stores.

I love these bags and so do the baggers at the grocery store. They open wide, stay wide open, and hold a bunch of frozen and/or cold items. The zipper is extra-long, so there is no bottle-neck at the bag's opening, and once the bag is zipped the food stays cold/frozen for hours. When not in use, the bags fold flat and store easily inside my larger insulated bag alongside the non-insulated bags and produce sacks. I've been using these bags for a few months and have found no down-side. I've given them to friends, and I've ordered additional for myself. I highly recommend.7/30/2020 Bring-your-own bags are sidelined during the Covid-19 pandemic, but up until recently mine have been regularly in use for groceries and they remain like new. With 6 years of steady use, there are no broken zippers, no rips or tears. Easily keep cold foods cold and frozen foods frozen for at least 3 hours. In addition we use them to supplement the tiny fridges in hotel rooms. With a blue ice or two they keep food cold for many hours. Will also keep hot food hot and I've used them to potluck hot dishes. These bags are one of my best discoveries!

I bought these bags out of a storage necessity. I owned one like these, except it had a flap top zip closure. I bought it from a local supermarket. I don't remember the cost. But I do remember that I liked it and wanted more. When we moved I was unable to find any like it, so I turned to AMAZON for help. I found other bags like these, but the cost was more than my poor budget could bear. When I found these they served my purpose but I have to stuff underneath the sides of the zipper with balled up plastic bags and I had to place a stretched out plastic bag in the front pocket. This was to keep creepy crawlers out of the bags.The bags themselves are roomy and durable and a lot more attractive than those store plastic bags that the groceries are bagged in to bring home. And I do not like placing a lot of plastic, flimsy bags on top of each other. I bought these in two colors: black and green. In the green ones, I put canned fruits and vegetables. In the black ones I put mostly everything else. If I ran out of room, or was undecided I would just use which ever bag had room left. Even though these bags don't have the closure I would have liked I still decided to give them five stars because they still serve my purpose.

We'll this is so cheap for the price beside it say's large, this one is not large at all and very thin material. I decided to give it away to some might use it and I will look for a better one that is thicker and larger that I can use on summer days in Florida. This one is only good if you go to the grocery and straight right home plus you can only put so much because it's only medium size.

I was very impressed on how much cold food & drinks could fit in these bags. I used them for the grocery store to carry my milk, salads, meats, etc., with plenty of room left, if I needed to use it. These would really work just as well for other family members who needed plenty of room for their refrigerated items or any hot items. I used a separate bag to carry my hot foods in it and they were still hot when I arrived home.These bags were shipped by the due date and I couldn't ask for anything better to carry my grocery store items. Bags look good and are of a size large enough to fit all but the largest packages. The largest item you can fit into these would be pre-packaged chicken breasts that are 5 or 6 side to side. They perform well, keeping heat out and the cool air within. One thing to know though: the handles are long so if you walk to you grocer you'll have to deal with bunching them up a bit to keep the bottom of the bag from scraping the sidewalk.

Haven't used it much yet, so I don't know about long-lasting cooling and how well it will hold up. The design is nice and I like it. The ends open up like an envelope and push in, so that means the zipper doesn't close the entire opening. For my needs it will be just fine. If I were using it to keep things cool for many hours, that might be an issue. It appears to be well-made. I'll have to see how it holds up over time. I have another one from Walmart whose zipper broke within a little over a year, so I went with a more affordable model. I would purchase another one at this price.

My old insulated grocery bags were tearing up and I needed something to replace them, but I really didn't want to spend a fortune on each bag. These bags are absolutely perfect for cold and frozen items at the grocery store. The size is actually a bit larger than many grocery bags that I've tried. With the insulation, if something leaks, the inside can be wiped down easily. They are relatively thick and seem to be very durable - I have a tendency to load my bags very heavy and these seem to be taking it very well. I bought 2 initially and then ordered 3 more after trying them out for a few weeks.
