My husband loved this bottle opener! It brought him back to the days where he and his brother played toy soldiers! The bottle opener is heavier than it looks and is well made. I ordered two so we would be able to keep one in each of our campers. This would make a great gift for the servicemen/servicewomen in your life.

Loved the nostalgia and coolness factor. Very sturdy diecast metal and paint job. Can be slightly tricky opening harder to open bottles. The gun part of the opener should probably be a bit closer in to make the opening itself slightly smaller. Works ok to open most bottles but may take a little more effort that traditional bottle opener. All that said, makes a great gift.

Love this bottle opener! A very heavy, thickly painted soldier opens your bottles for you. The only downside is that you pry in the opposite direction as most openers: most openers you pry from your side and lift away from you, and with this opener, you hook the gun under the bottle cap and pry towards yourself. It's a little awkward, but it works fine and it's just such a fun opener, i would still buy it again.

Let me start this review off by confessing to you a horrible secret of mine: I'm a heavy drinker and get wasted easily. While I'm wasted, I do a lot of horrible things, such as buy silly things off of Amazon that I end up regretting once I reach hangover stage. This item was going to be part of that same formula, but for some reason, I don't regret this purchase. This item is not only silly, but it is also a utility that can allow me to enjoy a beer. Being shaped like a soldier is also a plus! So far, I have opened 11,373 beers with this bottle opener, and it still works like new when I bought it last month. Very durable, like a soldier!

Item was right on time. Packaging was adequate. The item is very sturdy and works great. It does work a little different than the average bottle opener. You push down on his legs instead of pulling up on them. I only mention this because I saw a review that complained of spilling all over the place because of this. I dont have any issues with it but I can see how it could take a little bit to get used to. Overall I think it's a cool bottle opener that I'm sure will draw some envy from friends.

Very cool gift! I bought two as gifts only because two was the limit. I ordered two more! Update: second order came. One broken. Ordered more lol. Update #2: the new one also came broken. See pic! Now they want me to go OUT OF MY WAY to return it by dropping it off at a Kohl’s. At this point, frustrated and disappointed. Update 3: Finally received one in a box vs a bag so wasn’t broken. Not sure I’ll drive all the way to Kohl’s to return one of the broken ones or just lose $5. Hassle but cute gift.
