Definitely more pros than cons
UPDATE: I'm looking for a new vacuum (again!), this one is in its way out after almost exactly a year. Cheap plastic wheels have gone wonky, various parts have snapped off, the retractable cord has tears in the rubber, suction has decreased significantly---plus it squeals, squeaks, and whines in use! Looking back, I originally paid a little less than a hundred bucks and it got hard, heavy usage over the year---so I'm still a winner of sorts at around 25 cents a day.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the 4th vacuum I have bought since my old Dyson Animal bit the dust, so I must admit I was very skeptical about a cheapie (less than a hundred bucks for me) doing an acceptable job in my kid-and-dogs household. Having used it for about 5 months, I can say I'm cautiously satisfied with it and won't feel too cheated if it lasts at least a year or so longer.I love the retractable power cord, but hate having to manually pull it out (it's too tight to let its own slack out while vacuuming, the cord will just pull out of the wall). The foot controls for power/recline/brush are all conveniently placed. The length of the attachment hose is just OK, not great, and it's missing the hard plastic (no brush) head I like to use on stairs. As with all bagless vacuums I've owned, the dust canister is way too small---but I suppose that might be by design so you have to dump frequently, which keeps the suction strong. Those minor complaints aside, this vacuum does pick up more dog hair than its 3 predecessors that ended up at Goodwill. I vacuumed what I thought was a clean high-pile area rug, and was shocked to see how much embedded hair this one picked up. It's lightweight without feeling cheap. For those of us with multiple floor types---carpet, rugs, tile, hardwood---the rubber-covered wheels roll smoothly without scratching anything. Overall, a pretty decent vacuum at this price point.

The brush on the "pet paw" has also stopped spinning and is now useless. I love the idea of bagless vacuums and ...
Plastic hunk of junk. What a shame, my old Eureka lasted me over 20 years. (To be fair, I didn't expect a $100 vacuum to last me 20 years, but 5 or so would have been nice)It worked well for the first month I had it. Then one of the plastic supports on the bottom snapped, so the vacuum will no longer stand upright on its own. No big deal, I can work around that. The accessory tools constantly fall off their holsters when not in use. I spend equal parts of time vacuuming and picking up the darn accessories.Recently, it started making a high pitched whistling noise whenever I use the tool hose. The brush on the "pet paw" has also stopped spinning and is now useless.I love the idea of bagless vacuums and the tool hose, but I'll have to keep searching.

I doubt it will hold up for house full of carpet or do a good job, just lightweight use is fine
Seems to be fully functionable. Should be ok for my house as I only have an area rug and laminate/tile floors. Just hope it will make it a couple of years to get my moneys worth. It will pick up cat hair if brushes are moving so that is what I wanted. I doubt it will hold up for house full of carpet or do a good job, just lightweight use is fine.

Wouldn't recommend.
I own a cleaning company and have always loved using Eureka vacuums in for our residential cleaning appointments. These vacuums all worked well during the first month, but after that they would lose their suction power. The attachments always fall off when using the vacuum, which can be annoying when you're in the middle of cleaning. The spinning brush attachment for stairs and furniture has worked one time or not at all. I love the washable filters and bagless canisters, but that's about all I love about this vacuum. We've had one vacuum start making a very high pitch squeal all of a sudden; a couple more won't suck up debris on hard floors, and two other vacuums won't stand upright because the spring that keeps it upright has fallen off somewhere. I wouldn't recommend this vacuum because it turns out to be more hassle than useful.

Good for a few months
I have had this vacuum for a few months now and, until a couple of days ago, really liked that it has great suction power and was fairly quiet. Unfortunately, while using it a couple days ago, it made a strange clunk noise and immediately shifted from being relatively quiet to being so loud it now sounds like a siren. I'm not sure that I can really recommend it now. Things I like about it: the self retracting power cord, good suction power, easy switching between floor vacuum and hose, agitator roller brush can be shut off for hard floors and while using the hose, light weight. Things I don't like: multiple filters that must be cleaned after every use - and they don't clean up easily, you must wait until the filters are dry before using the vacuum again, the clear plastic parts only look good before the first time the vacuum is used - from that point on, they are just covered with dust.

Great for pet owners
Great value, this vacuum sucks! In the way you want them to suck...hard. Save your money on a Dyson. This one deserves a try

Brush Assembly Plastic Guide Broke After 6 months
After roughly 6 months of use the brush started to make banging noises. After examining, the brush assembly we found that the plastic sleeve where the brush rotates had broken which resulted in it moving up and down. The broken plastic sleeve does not appear to be easy to replace, part of a larger assembly. It would not surprise me if Eureka did a little to good of a job designing this part of the vacuum to fail. I expect at least 2-3 year prior to a vacuum have any major break downs. So I'll need to buy a new vacuum, it will NOT be a Eureka vacuum.
