Accurate Monitoring for Peace of Mind
I recently purchased an oximeter to keep track of my oxygen levels, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in terms of accuracy and reliability. I have tested it against the NHS equivalent within a hospital, giving me the confidence to rely on its readings. One of the first things that impressed me about this oximeter is its ease of use. The setup process was straightforward, and within seconds of placing my finger in the designated slot, I received a clear and precise reading of my oxygen saturation levels and heart rate. The LED display is bright and easy to read, making it suitable for users of all ages. The device's build quality feels sturdy and durable, giving me confidence that it can withstand daily use without any issues. It is also compact and lightweight, making it easily portable and convenient to carry around wherever I go. In terms of user-friendliness, the oximeter is designed to be intuitive, making it accessible even for individuals who are not tech-savvy. The one-button operation simplifies the process, and the auto-shutdown feature helps conserve battery life. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend to others.

Good
I brought this after I had a different make that was supposed to be NHS approved and accurate but it turned out it was not accurate. If it was I would probably be dead with the low oxygen levels it recorded. It appears all home devices are hit and miss, so maybe we have to lower our expectation. However, so far, and I say so far, because my other appeared fine at first, and then in time I found it was not only unreliable it broke after 5 months, so have to see how this performs over a period of time. My initial assessment of this make and model is it appears more sensitive than my previous one, in as much as you really do have to make sure you dont 'move', and even when I do not move the flash ? sometimes comes on, indicating readings may not be accurate, but it doesn't stay on, so I recon its sensitive to the most smallest of movements, probably so small we are unaware. However, I dont see this as a hindrance because once you give it a few seconds, I find the readings are more stable than my other one. I think the 'sensitivity' appears to give more accurate and stable readings, but you do have to remain 'still'. It isn't giving me any abnormal oxygen readings, so far, so that is a relief because my last one was all over the place, as I said, i should be dead. The pulse Heart Rate is accurate with my blood pressure machine. So overall so far I feel this is giving accurate readings. It feels slightly light compared to my last one, which at first I thought it was going to be flimsy and a issue, but I dont think it will be as long as we dont throw it around. So yes it is light weight but its not an issue so far. It is easy to use. You can change the screen display according to how you want your readings to displayed, useful when you use different hand, and it is bright enough. It hasn't got the functions I had on my other one, which was being able to set it to bleep, it is basically just giving you readings, that is fine, i think the bleep on the other could be alarming anyway. I have got used to it, I like it. I am hoping it remains accurate, and doesn't do what my previous one did and go awol and then break. If it remains as it is at the moment after first day and night of using it, I will be very happy. The price is reasonable, it is cheaper than my previous on, and it does the job well so far. Would I recommend it, yes I would. I think we have to be cautious with medical home equipment, and my advice if anyone is interested, I would look for trends more so than numbers, unless they are crazy numbers that give concerns. Do not rely on any home device alone. If you are getting a trend of it reading a High Heart rate or even Low Heart rate, or Low Blood Oxygen on a regular basis, then get it checked out by a professional. These home devices should never replace professional medical equipment, they can be inaccurate and then often that alarms people, thinking they have something wrong with them, i know with my last one, with my very low blood oxygen readings, I started to panic. It taught me to look more at trends, as well as numbers and not to panic, but if you do get numbers that concern you, seek medical help, and try and stay calm, because home devices can be wrong. However, so far I would say this device is working well, and as accurately as I think a home device can work. I do not see anything with it so far that suggests its not accurate. So its worth having. One last thing, from experience, I am going to buy a second device to compare and for back up. When my last one broke and I was without it, I felt lost, especially as I am having issues at the moment and need to keep a check on my number. So i think a second one is useful, gives me peace of mind if one breaks, but also gives comparisons, which again, dont expect them to be the same numbers, i doubt you will get that, but having two allows comparisons, and make better judgements, and not get so worried because you can see trends, and work out averages from both devices. That is just my personal preference, I dont want to be without one again, and I had two blood pressure machines for comparison, and it helped a lot. I expect two finger oximeters will do the same. I hope this helps others make a choice, I would definitely recommend, and delivery was quick as well.

Works OK, so I'm satisfied
I eventually decided to purchase a pulse oximeter because of a positive Covid-19 result and chose this one solely because it is sold by a well-known brand. However, this does mean that it is more expensive. I haven't scored it for accuracy simply because I have no standard to compare it with. It does give sensible readings but there are occasions when it will give no reading or an unusual one. So far I have not attributed these to a failure of the device, but usually because there has been a confounding issue like cold fingers. If the unit cannot read a pulse or detect a reasonable perfusion index then there is no way it can measure spO2. I have found it easy to use. My advice to anyone wishing to buy an oximeter is to spend a lot of time reading around the subject. Which magazine doesn't wholeheartedly endorse purchasing one and there is a very good Youtube video (10 minutes) by Dr Mike Hansen assessing the pros and cons of oximeters. There is no point in hoping to use this or similar devices while active. You really do need to be still while taking readings. But I have found it useful to check my Fitbit pulse recordings against this unit immediately after exercise. The oximeter is much more accurate when my pulse is high. When at rest they give similar answers. If you fancy splashing out £20-£40 for fun then go ahead, but these are not as straightforward to use as, say, a thermometer.

Good quality product
Bring Salter, the quality is there as accuracy is key with these. Clear display that’s easy to read.

High quality and cheaper than similar products
Really nifty - probably about half the size of a standard block of butter, so small and easy to store. Comes with the batteries, which are simple to fit - no unscrewing battery panels or the like! Very easy to use, quick to provide a reading, and seems to be accurate too. Whilst obviously I can’t check oxygen saturation for accuracy, certainly the pulse rate reading was the same as what I measured manually, and I am fairly certain the oxygen saturation reading is accurate too. Readings are clearly displayed and easy to read. Peg is comfortable on finger, and easy to fit. Overall a very nifty bit of kit, and considerably cheaper than others I have seen elsewhere, but with no change in quality. Recommended, especially in these covid times.

Necesitaba un medidor de tensión de forma urgente y éste la mide en el brazo y tenía muy buen precio. Funciona a pilas.

Consigliato.
