Well that was the response to my wife when she accused me of getting old if I needed one of these! In reality, yes I am getting older, the joints are a little less mobile (ok, a lot!) and frankly if there is a device to make putting shoes on a little easier of a morning, then why wouldn't you? From a shoe care perspective it is also a good habit to get into if you wear good quality shoes as it stops you damaging the heel section of the upper. This particular shoe horn is much better than I expected for the price. It is lightweight, strong (it has handled my demands with ease) and feels good in the hand. Quite simply an excellent choice for the discerning gentleman who isn't really old at all! Now where did I put the Voltarol...? :)

No complaints with this shoe horn at all other than perhaps the enormous box it came in. Much to my late father's disgust, I tend to take off and put on my shoes without undoing the laces. Rather than trap my finger when easing my heel in I decided to invest in a shoe horn. This is a lovely item. Made from wood with a good finish. The surface is beautifully smooth and it requires almost no effort at all to slide your heel in. Great value for money. Has a handy little leather tag for hanging it up as well. If you're in the market for a shoe horn, this is perfect.

Nicely made & varnished out of real wood - have only given 4 stars as it would have been perfect if it was just an inch or two longer as I am pushing 6 feet and use it to help put on my men’s Ugg Chelsea boots - however it’s a nice sturdy bit if kit and I would recommend it as being good value overall

Good quality shoe horn made of varnished wood. I struggle to get on a pair of my boots and was flattening the back of my boot. With this shoe horn I can get them on easy with no struggle and bonus I don’t have to bend down to get them on.

This unit is very well made and looks good. polished and strong. It is not as easy to use as plastic ones, but given its looks and quality I'd say say it is worth the tiny bit of hassle to use as I've already broken two of the plastic ones, but this is very strong.

Having broken a few plastic versions of these I decided to try wood Good solid item, and just the right length for myself to save bending too far when putting shoes on. I have mobility issues and would highly recommend it for the quality and strength.

I have to wear inserts and these make putting on my shoes so much easier. Very happy

Endlich mal ein Schuhanzieher, der nicht nach wenigen Benutzungen seinen Geist aufgibt, weil er aus nicht belastbarem Kunststoff hergestellt ist. Natur bleibt eben Natur! Die hervorragende Verarbeitung des Holzes, die glatte Oberfläche und das ansprechende Design machen den Einsatz des kleinen Helfers täglich zu einem immer wiederkehrenden Genuß.

Devo dire che recensire un calzascarpe non è semplicissimo. In ogni caso, questo è fatto davvero bene, è molto molto resistente. Funziona bene per tutti quelli che usano il calzascarpe per indossare le scarpe senza doverle slacciare! :-P Il calzascarpe è molto liscio, quindi il tallone scivola bene, è lungo il giusto per fare abbastanza leva ed essendo appunto liscio, non fa male.
