The Economics of Public Issues (18th Edition)

I teach an Introductory Economics course to high school students. I've found that this text provides an excellent introduction to real world issues. The chapters are concise, discussion questions thought provoking, and the writing clear. While the authors present their content with a slight bias toward the Chicago School of thought, it does not detract from the strong quality of this primer. A beginning economics student or an adult who wants more understanding of economic issues will benefit from this text.

Great book, read it, it has very clear simple examples.If you have ever question public policy this book explains the simple why and how come.

Chapters are relatively brief but provide sufficient detail to cover the basics of economics. The questions at the end of each chapter help put the material into context.

One of the very best books on understanding economics and life.

This book provides little evidence for the arguments it makes, just like the teacher that assigned it. In the end,I dropped the class because I have no patience for arguments without concrete evidence and data.
