San Francisco Bay Brand ASF71510 Freeze Dried Tubifex Worms for Freshwater Fish, 28gm

My fish love tubifex worms, and I have fed them this product for several years. I enjoy watching my fish eat this product. Although I rated this product a "5," I was shocked when my package of four (4) small bottles arrived. Here's why--When I placed my order, I failed to carefully look at all 6 photo insets, which were posted to the Amazon website. They provided additional information that I should have been aware of. I thought I was ordering 4 containers (bottles) of tubifex worms, each containing a net wt of 2 oz.; however, when I opened the box containing my order, I noted each bottle was almost half the size and weight of the last empty bottle of worms I had in my possession. Receiving the smaller bottles made me feel I had been duped. Unfortunately, I did not read everything on the screen. Before I placed my order, I only looked at the posted product label, which appeared to be the same as the label on my empty bottle. SO, CUSTOMERS, PLEASE REMEMBER: It "pays" to read EVERYTHING before you place an Amazon order. Had I carefully scrolled over each of the 6 website photos for this product and carefully read the weight on the bottle label, I would not have been so surprised and disappointed when the package arrived with smaller sized bottles that weighed less than what I had expected. Yes, I was indeed upset, but I needed the tubifex worms; my supply had run out. Nonetheless, my order taught me a good lesson. ALWAYS read the small print on whatever you purchase, especially for items purchased on the Internet.

There's nothing wrong with the packaging. It arrived on time. The thing is, no one will eat them.First problem is that my African Clawed Frog can't seem to smell them, even if I squish the cubes. However, if I hold a cube in front of her face, she will grab it. This leads to the second problem: she spits them out after 2 seconds. This went on for 4 days even though I didn't give her any other food. African Clawed Frogs supposedly eat anything, and she's happily eaten all sorts of other stuff (even food pellets).I then gave them to my collection of fish. They swam by both the cube and the little bits that fell off the cube like they weren't food! I've never seen them ignore food like that. I normally feed the fish the cheapest flakes out there, and all the fish go crazy for the silly flakes.I then tried the frozen (not freeze dried) blood worms from omega one (available at pet stores). The frog LOVES those, as do the fish. Approximately the same price, too.

Good product. Most all fish crave this food. However, I have since purchased 1/2 lb as a more value per $ packaging.

This has helped keep my turtle healthy and alive 16 YEARS. he loves these and devours them with fierce delight. When I run out and have to give him anything else he just sniffs it and looks at me as if to say "you expect me to eat that?, wheres my tubifex worms?"

My fish and snails can't get enough of these I am a repeat customer over the years and this jar will last you a long time!

Accept no substitute for SF Bay Brand Tubifex. Been using this products for decades and never had a problem. Great for medium to larger fish. Smaller fish like guppies or neons might have some problems swallowing the bigger worms.

My fish loved these and I loved that the actual pieces of worms weren't so tiny that they didn't get eaten, unlike other brands I've tried.

Without access to live tubifex, this is the best. My fish love this food!
