Gold mine for mastery - if you don't mind the writing style
I rarely write reviews on books even if they give lot of "great new insights". This one is so applicable to just about everything you do.Although the pages are filled with gold nuggets, the writing style is bad and other authors could've easily turned this into a top seller in the field. But a gem is a gem. This work comes from someone who has truly trained elite athletes and brought their games to the next level. I am not ever sure "Fearless Mind" is what this books is about - although he does teach ways to bypass the anxiety issue altogether. The book is about mastery and being the best in sports but equally applicable in life skills. In the pages, you will find the best explanation of what exactly is "deliberate practice" to help you keep improving after the plateau. It talks about why individual skills are vitally important, but at the same time it is the real game you have to have enough practice of for making "better decisions". Rather than forcing fearlessness, be task-oriented and not outcome-oriented and there will be no fear. The journalling exercise in the book may not look different from other similar exercises but this one is field-tested by the elite athletes to improve their game from mediocrity.

Fear not fair maiden, I shall slay the monster that guards you! - I am fearless!
Very good. I do some stuff with high school athletics. The principle of the past, present, and future when it comes to our thought process is fantastic! I loved the book and even went to a workshop where Craig presented. His perspective is through the eyes of a tennis player. However true principles are true principles and transcend all boundaries. If you are involved with sports, this is a good one to read. In fact it is a very easy read with manageable chapters. I would have like more specifics than his personal experiences in tennis, but perhaps he needed that to carry the principle forward and establish credentials. Thanks Dr. Manning, I very much recommend this book!

A Must Read for High School Athletes
My son is an incredible athlete but when it came to performing during high stake events he struggled mentally and would underperform and become physically ill. After watching a several Youtube videos featuring Dr Manning, I purchased a copy of this book for our son. He read it within a couple of days and now keeps a dog-eared copy with him to read during every event. It has been an incredible transformation watching him struggle with self doubt, fear and an ego-oriented mindset to a confident, task-oriented mindset. His talents now shine in both practices and on race day.Thank you Dr Manning for writing this book. We have purchased multiple copies and have shared it with our other teens and other young athletes we know. We know you must be very busy with the NBA but we hope you will continue writing and inspiring the youth of today.

AWESOME book, a must read for athletes...
I bought this after hearing a triathlete talk about the author and the book which picked my interest. This is an absolutely awesome book that's very easy to understand. I bought two more copies of this book, one to give to my swim coach and the other to my yoga for athletes teacher. It's the type of book that stays with you and the kind that can review over and over and use as a reference. Even if are not an athlete it provides valuable information to live a better life. I can't say enough about Dr Manning's Fearless Mind.

Guide for developing mental toughness
I've been on a kick for a while about the psychology of performance, behavioral Neuroscience and developing mental toughness. This was the first book I read in that area. I had an interview with Dr. Manning on a podcast and immediately bought this book. It is an easy read, easy to understand him and not a thick book. His focus is sports, but if you want to get better at anything, he gives a step by step guide to teach you. I still use a lot of his techniques today. I like that he was an elite athlete before he became a psychologist, it means he gets it. This is a great resource for parents to help their kids develop.

An interesting read... should have an 'in-app purchases' warning
This is a good book with interesting insights into high performance - whether that's sports/athletics, or every day life. The book mentions a 'High Performance Journal' several times, and I was eagerly awaiting an example of this with every page turn, all the way to the end... only to discover that you need to sign up for the online version show us your money thank you very much. Seems to be the way of the world nowadays - probably the key to high financial performance (for the author/publishers).
