Perfect for low watt system
I bought this system for my small little 400 watt amp due to the reviews about the true "gauge." Everyone is right, in that it is closer to a 6-8 gauge wire with thick insulation. I know even that is overkill for 400 watts, but I do electronics and wiring alot. Its alot better to go overkill then under. The wire isn't copper, but aluminum, with a few strands of copper, as to be expected. However, the blue and silver look very nice. My interior theme is going to be blue, so it'll match pretty well if I run it asthetically right. So, if youre looking for an economical solution for an amp under 1000 watts, this is perfect. I wouldn't trust it above, or even close to the advertised 1800 watts, because that would be pretty close to the melting/disastrous failure of the system.

Decent product for the price.
I do say this was decent for the price. The wire is a thin silver strand bunched together which breaks easily, the RCA cables were to short to go from the deck to the back of my 300 almost (although I barely made it still), the speaker wire that came with it was like 20-18 gauge wire (horrible for a 1800 watt kit), it did come with a few zipties (I already had some anyways but in for reference) as well as a assortment of terminals (Crimp style). It also had a self tapping screw for the ground wire, but no screws for the fuse holder (no clue why, again I had some to use already). Other than the few flaws listed it was ok for the price.

Wired for sound..
If you are using everything supplied in this kit for the purpose it was intended you should be quite happy with this purchase. I have had no issues with wires or connectors like some other guys mentioned. I suspect it was most likely human error. Not using the proper tools or Technique will cause the heartiest of connectors to appear inferior . As for the gentleman voicing issues about the remote cables being weak? I must ask why he was crimping anything this wire in the first place! Its manufactured with the connectors. Those looking a wire kit to Jerry rig an audio system.... nothing will please you. One word of caution... Be sure your amp will facilitate the 4awg power wire and 4awg ground otherwise you might inadvertently be Jerry rigging this wire set after all!

Decent for starters
I'm currently doing a project on an '07 Mustang GT, and this worked well for now. It's not a 4 gauge, at least by US standards, but it worked well. Wiring was long enough to fit through my boat car, so I'm happy for now. When I get my second amp for my other speakers, I'll upgrade to a better quality wire, but for now, these work fine.

Good deal for your money
I just got the package in yesterday, Im going to be using with a Hifonics HiFi 1500 Watt Amp. I noticed it has a 120 amp fuse, the fuse holder seems to be for the most part water proof. The only con is the given Remote Wire And the Speaker Wire. The remote wire is RIDICULOUSLY small and then speaker wire is to small for my set up.

PERFECT KIT
When others say that this kit isn't worth it, it is. You can spend 100 dollars more on a wiring kit but as long as you are not running 2 amps with one positive wire, you will be fine. Besides if you really need more than 4 gauge you should be running 2 batteries and 2 alternators. This wiring kit will give you everything you will need to wire a midsize car or truck. Dont waste your money on other wiring kits. This kit will do the job as good as any.

Great if it's all you wanted
As noted in other reviews, these cables are probably not AWG 4.The 'speaker wires' are AWG 22 or so, and the stereo RCA cable (which is not channel-color-coded) is the poorest example of such wire I have seen commercially in many a year (even worse than Radio Shack wires). As stated elsewhere, it's a great value for the price (in my case, hooking up a charger/converter to my batteries).I did, however, wind up using all supplied crimp-on connectors, though not for their stated purpose.

not long enough
I have a pretty small car (Honda Accord) and the power turn on lead and the 4 gauge power cord weren't long enough. It went straight from the battery to the back and i still had to buy more. the wires were pretty cheap too, but it got the job done.

good up to a point.
It was an OKAY kit. It worked for my application, so that is perfect. I would not recommend this product for high-end or high-power setups, but for most people it will be fine. The wires and connectors do feel a bit cheap, but I've seen them perform well for over a year so far.

Bad wires, didn't let power flow through to the ends
Don't cheep out. Wires didn't work, must have had a break in them somewhere but they didn't run power to the other end of the cable. I checked with a multi-meter and no current was showing. I suggest spend the extra money for something that works.

Ok- not great
Ground wire was way too short for my needs, was less that 2 feet long. The speaker wire that came with was too small a gauge.
