Excellent with Anet A8!
My favorite 3d printing filament so far!I'm using an Anet A8. Originally I started with PLA but I've been experimenting with ABS. My first attempts were with a small sample pack of 20' lengths of various colors that are sold as refills for a 3d printing pen. The results with those were mixed but with smaller lengths like that you can't really print anything too substantial. The samples I tried were solid-color filaments so I'm not sure if this spool being translucent blue has different properties that might have made it work better for me.I was initially nervous about using ABS after hearing horror stories about bed adhesion, fumes, warping, etc but it wasn't bad at all. I spent a fair amount of time meticulously leveling my glass bed to make sure it was set properly. My printer is not enclosed but it's located in an area that doesn't get drafts. Fumes aren't nearly as bad as I'd expected them to be & I didn't even notice them unless I was right next to the printer.I really like the translucent blue look. You can tell light is getting partially through a few layers which really contrasts it with the solid-color filaments. Haven't had any stringing, zits or other imperfections with this filament so far like I have with PLA of the same brand, but I can't say for sure how much of that is the filament's fault or the fact that it sat out for a week or so and may have absorbed moisture. My first print with this filament (see photo) was an upgrade part for my Anet A8. I've previously installed a Y-Axis belt tensioner, filament guide, filament spool holders & glass bed but otherwise stock A8. This print was allowed to come down to room temperature fully (without fans) before being removed from the bed. This was printed literally minutes after removing the spool from its packaging.Sliced with Cura.1mm layer height75% Rectilinear infillSkirt UsedNo SupportsNo CoolingGlass Bed w/ hairspray @ 90cExtruder at 250C50mm/sec speed

Not bad
This is a really cool looking filament. I have had some troubles printing with it for the most part. Its probably me, but either way. Its not the best for me. At least not yet. It is quite a good looking roll of filament. It looks good and seems strong after printing. Ill probalby buy more to match my other modifications I am using them for.

Looks nice, but brittle.
Hatchbox is very reputable. But this specific color (translucent) is very brittle. You must use the roll withing a short amount of time after opening or it will just get more brittle over time. Drying it makes it even more brittle. This is the first filament I've had break during printing. I will just have to print everything I need right after opening or suffer the deteriorationg of the spool. This is not the right filament for structural parts, it will definitely break given an amount of load on the part.

Running it hot
Finished up some abs projects and I like the company. I ran into some adhesive issues but I fixed them myself. I do have to run this product on the slow end so I have good layers. The blue color was brighter then I expected and I like it, makes for a clean look. I don't use a slurry but sometimes a glue stick. Good value for the cost overall.

This filament is so brittle it literally won't print
After owning this filament for a couple months but not using it, i wento to use it for the first time and it is so brittle that I literally can't use it. It acts like that has been open for years. Tread cautiously. I don't know if this is a matchbox issue or an inventory age issue, but what I ended up with is truly unusable.

Love Hatchbox!
Hatchbox is my go to filament when it comes to 3D Printing. Once you dial in your settings, which for me is about 225* and 90* on the bed it prints awesome. I'm using it on a Da Vinci Pro and a I3 clone.
