I bake almost exclusively with olive oil, and this is one of the best brands available. It is not overly heavy. It is good enough even to use in cakes and muffins when one does not want the taste of olives overpowering the taste of the dessert. Its light, delicate flavor is superb for nearly all baking, and I recommend it wholeheartedly for anyone who is serious about good health and good flavor. Simply put: it is fantastic!

This oil is great for frying. I can’t use vegetable oil because I’m allergic to soy and this is a great alternative. Healthy too. I use it for frying, dressings, and baking. Doesn’t have that strong extra Virgin olive oil taste

My honey and I like the taste of olive oil. It provides a unique taste to foods, particularly those of the Latin Caribbean kitchen. It was a staple in my household (the "G" brand which I'll never use again) and the health benefits are a bonus.I purchased this Pompeian brand thinking that light would not lessen the taste dramatically. Oh, but it does.There's absolutely nothing wrong with the product. Pompeian is a great brand, and with the little red seal on the back label, you're guaranteed that this is 100% pure olive oil. However, in terms of taste, there is none for us. This product would probably work for individuals who are venturing into olive oil and eschew the strong flavor. However, for us, this might as well be canola oil.My next order includes Pompeian ROBUST Olive Oil. Much more our speed.

OK, I read many reviews before buying this particular olive oil. I hesitated because it was a little more expensive than the brand I had been using in the past. I’m so glad that I gave it a try. The flavor is very light and fresh yet still olive tasting. It heats up well at higher temperatures without becoming bitter. We think it tastes delicious tossed with spices onto vegetables before roasting. I will never go back to regular or generic olive oil again. Some people might like the heavier taste of regular olive oil but I have come to really appreciate the smoother, lighter taste of this product in all the foods I pan-fry, bake or roast. Thank you to all who posted reviews about the light flavor and adaptability...you really helped me make up my mind.

I first ordered this product about three months ago, looking to switch to a healthier everyday cooking oil. Now, I pretty much use it on the daily for light fry ups and oven roasting. Also did some grilling with it once or twice. Taste-wise the olive flavor is subtle - almost neutral - which compliments most foods nicely instead of overwhelming them.Please note that while this oil is versatile, it will smoke up if you try to use it for high-temperature cooking like deep-frying. I still stick to canola or peanut oil for something like that. Also, you can use it for salads, but personally I still prefer using a more aromatic olive oil for that.

I use this particular brand normally and really like it. I was quite pleasantly surprised when I opened my Amazon box and saw how big the container was. It is definitely a great price for the product. Recommend!!!

I know olive oil is a better oil to use but I have never liked the taste. In looking for a healthy oil, I read the reviews on this light oil and one review stated that she did not like the taste of olive oil but found the "light" good. So I decided to try it and I agree. I would definitely buy again. The only thing I don't like is the plastic bottle. I try hard to stay away from plastic
