I figured out the wiring problem, and, the LCD is working great now!
About my brand new Color TFT 4.3" (Measured diagonally) monitor, I received it Monday evening, at a little after 5 pm. I had been told to expect it between the 14th, and, the 16th, so the early arrival time was great. Thanx. The LCD monitor arrived in perfect (visibly) condition. Again, thanx. The first thing that I did was to disconnect my 7" LCD mirror mount video (yellow), and, power (red and, black), wires, hooked up to my cigar lighter plug-in cabling. I then, plugged the power cord, from the cigar lighter, into the power harness, from the 4.3" LCD monitor, and, then, plugged in the yellow (video) plug, from my backup camera, cable array, located behind my license plate-mounted, camera. As soon as I tried the new LCD monitor, it did not work??? My 7" mirror-mount LCD, had been working perfect, from day one, "until," I disconnected the power cord, from it, to the cigar lighter, power cord, so that I could hook up the new, 4.3" monitor. Now, neither monitor works; the almost 3 week old mirror-mounted LCD monitor, that had been working perfectly, or, the newly-arrived, 4.3" LCD monitor, that I had bought, to replace the mirror mount, because it was just a little too large, for my dash, where I had had it mounted. So, tomorrow morning, I will attack the problem, with my multitester (meter), and, somewhat-limited knowledge, of troubleshooting these type systems, and, see if I can figure out, where the problem lies. I know! Why didn't I leave well enough alone, when I had the mirror-mount LCD monitor working beautifully? I guess, because, I'm a perfectionist, and, I really didn't want that "very large," mirror-mount monitor, taking up so much space, on the dash of my pickup truck. Size-wise, the new 4.3" LCD monitor is perfect, for the dash of my pickup truck. I only have to figure out now, why "both monitors," do not work now??? I may have blown a fuse, in the truck's fuse box? That is where I plan to begin my troubleshooting, tomorrow morning (checking backup light power, and, related fuses, etc.! Wish me luck. I will get back with everyone, here, as soon as I figure out, what I did wrong, and, what I had to do, to fix the problem. Talk to ya'll later..... p.s. I rated this new monitor, only 1 star, primarily, because, it isn't working, however, I believe, it's not working, because of something I did wrong, while splicing the new 4.3" power cord, into the cigar lighter, adapter power plug. Once I fix this power problem, (which I believe, that I will solve), then, I will change my rating, of the 4.3" monitor, to at least 4 stars, and, more than likely, 5 stars. "Toodle-ooh," for now, folks..... (The trials, and, tribulations, of a "shade-tree," automotive electronics technician/electrician???) (Smile!)LATE NOTE: I got up early, Tuesday morning, (today), and, checked my cigar lighter adapter plug-in wiring, and, the first two adapters were messed up, but, the third power adapter, worked, as they say, "like a charm," and, when I finished hooking up the new 4.3" Color TFT LCD monitor to it, and, plugging it into the cigar lighter hole, all I needed to do was turn the ignition key, to the ACC2, position, shift into reverse, and, the monitor "came alive," with a"super nice," image of the bushes, behind my pickup truck, and, the sidewalk, between, the bushes in front of our home, a couple of feet, closer, to the back, of my truck's rear bumper. The only thing that did not work with this new monitor, is the small, remote control, that came with my 3-week old, 7" mirror mounted LCD, that I have retired, for the time being. I velcroed the base of this new, LCD monitor, to the top, center, of my dash, and, even though, it is very tight, and, stable, I still plan to drill a couple of small holes, thru the base of the holder, and, screw it down, with a screw on each side of the monitor holder's pedestal base, to ensure that it remains where I mounted it. By the way, I changed my rating, of this brand new, 4.3" monitor to 5 stars, from my original rating of 1 star, and, I am now, one very happy, completely satisfied camper..... p.s. This new monitor has, brightness, contrast, color, and, two screen size, adjustments, (wide screen, and, narrow screen), but, no tint, adjustment, which, for the price that I paid, for this monitor, is "fine, and, dandy," with me. Once again, I want to thank ya'll. I am now, a happy camper, once more, with a monitor, that, although smaller, than the 7" once that I bought originally, is still large, and, clear enough, and, gets the job done, in fine fashion, and, it doesn't block, nearly as much, of the windshield, like the 7" monitor did, that was mounted, in the same dash location, as this 4.3" Color TFT Monitor is mounted now.....LATER YET, REMINDER: Remember to check your cigar lighter's plug-in power adapter, to ensure that it's working properly, or, the monitor will not function properly.

For the money, this is an excellent product!
As I said in the title, this is a very good deal for the money and it performs well at that level! So, I gave it 5 stars. Should it fail prematurely or other such flaw I will just get it replaced.... still 5 stars for price and function. The screen and performance is actually quite good. I do NOT think that you will be disappointed at all. Is it as good as my 37" LCD HDTV at home? Of course not, and did not cost anywhere near that much either. The functions to set up clarity, brightness, and color strength is so easy to use, that no one should have any problems. I might mention that it has one of the smallest base footprints I have seen; also, it has a VERY useful base in that you can do a lot with it in any direction or angle within it's range of motion. A lot of them do not do that well and leave a huge print on your dash or side bar. It is easy to fit, mount, and connect.... It is so easy I did not take even one look at the user instructions: you simply do not need them.... yes, that plain, and simple to see how to use it. I do NOT think you will be disappointed with this if your expectations are reasonable for the size and cost of the unit. If it does not work well, hold up for long, or goes wrong, I will update this review..... no update = no problems! Enjoy!UPDATE: 18 Nov. 2013. I finally got around to installing this into my wife's car. She had the bug that she really needed a backup camera..... so, I did it using this one for the display.... obviously. She loves it. It is still only a 480x272 Rez but it is enough and she thinks I am wonderful..... at least for the moment:-)If you notice the photo listed with it, there is ZERO black unusable portion of the screen, so this is really a very good sized screen.... and the price is excellent!NOTE: It does have the 3 buttons another had said were missing, and it sets up so easily that zero instructions are needed at all! If it quits, no big deal: I will return it to amazon for simple replacement, or just buy another one, for you cannot get a better deal on a full screen smaller display than this one! Enjoy.

Raspberry Pi - Great display companion for R-Pi devices
If you're looking for a small portable TV/composite display for your tiny Raspberry Pi, this is a good option. The screen supports 480x272, which is enough for some light typing. You can see what's on the screen, and adjusting the brightness you can read 80-90% of the text. But keep in mind it's nowhere close to your high-res iphone display that you're so used. It's a NTSC TV after all, so images are a bit blurry and there's some flicker.Still, if all you need is a small and affordable display so you can see what's going on on the console, and most of the work will be done via SSH, this is a handy product.Pros:- excellent price- very light and portable- controls for brightness, contrast,- selection between 4:3 and 16:9 wide mode- two AV inputsCons:- blurry image (main reason why I reduced 1 star) [EDIT 2013-01: Improved. See below]- stand is indeed cheap, as other reviewers mentioned. I didn't break mine yet, but I can see this falling apart some day.- trouble to use the full screen with the R-Pi. Even setting up Overscan and tweaking manually, I still have a narrow (+-5px) black bar on top and bottom. [EDIT 2013-01: FIXED! See below]If all you need is a small portable display to play with your Raspberry Pi, this is a good option.EDIT 1: AC adapter is not included. You need to provide a 12V DC wall adapter ($5-8 at Amazon for a model with 1A output, 2.1mm plug).EDIT 2 - 2013-01: thanks to @Greenman's suggestion below, I was able to eliminate the narrow black bars and make the R-Pi use the full screen. It also reduced a bit of the flicker and the blurriness. Now I'd increase my review to 4.5 stars.

Great for Raspberry PI
Bought for Raspberry PI.The power-socket will accept a standard 12v transformer plug 5mmx 2.5 plug (or CCTV socket), but it does come with an additional male socket with open ended red/black wires to connect to a 12v supply power supply, although you would have to supply your own in-line 1amp holder and glass fuse. I used a 12v 2amp transformer I had from an old USB disk drive. The TV consumes 3 watts (250ma).The RPi does overlap the screen slighltly and the fonts are like some MS word at point 6. To change it you need to edit the config file on your SD card (inserted into your pc so you can 'see' what you're doing!) with:sudo nano /boot/config.txtRemove the '#' from the two lines#framebuffer_width=1280 -to - framebuffer width=320#framebuffer_height=720 -to - framebuffer height-240You may wish to change your overscan to positive numbers if your screen goes over or negative if screen has a border. I used the following, but your PI may be different...overscan_left=2overscan_right=6overscan_top=18overscan_bottom=20For just over 12 quid, this is a bargain and it works fine and the RPi desktop was perfectly readable - nice strong colours and good vga resolution.I am aware there are instructables on the internet on how to remove the 12v-5v power regulator chip on the PCB and run the unit from a 5volt rail from a USB cable soldered to the board. But I am not that brave and certainly wouldn't want to void the warranty.
