Steadier shooting for not much money
Really awesome for the price. I just filmed a music video and used this 90% of the time with my 60D. Made the shooting much easier, and the shots much steadier. Definitely plan to beef it up and customize it in the future but even as is, its a very useful tool for shooting.Oh and I would buy this one over the Polaroid rig. It's exactly the same product as the Poloroid rig but the Magic Rig is always cheaper.

Good, not great, but a solid good.
I would like to give this 3.5 stars if that were an option. It's good, does an okay job for a pretty good price, the fittings are a touch cheap as you would expect at this price point. Not quit pro gear, but good for occasional use. As long as you expect slight compromises in fit and finish it should make the buyer happy.

Inexpensive rig that works!
I have been a DSLR shooter ever since the 5D Mark II was launched and I gotta say that this little rig is very handy. It's small, light and portable. I had another rig from another company that costs me $300 and was a full rig. But why pay that much when you can get this little rig and do pretty much everything that other rigs can do. I highly recommend this for all DSLR shooters who want to shoot hand held. The only con that I have is that the padding for the arm rest is cheaply glued and is coming loose.

Pretty colors.
Paid $50 and i believe its worth every penny. its solid and sturdy! and super easy to store in a relatively small bag. foam on the arm rest isnt too comfortable, but whatever, i can manage.

Amazing shoulder mount - just don't trust the QR plate.
I still had to give this 5 stars even though the top mounting bracket is NOT STABLE and WILL FALL OFF (taking your camera with it). Knowing this, however, simply tape the quick release plate into its mount tighly with some gaffer tape (or whatever) and you have an incredible piece of hardware for an amazing price.Along with the Zacuto eye piece (loupe) for the BMPCC, this has changed the way I shoot with that camera. I love how customizable this support is and how lightweight and simple they've made the design.Take 20 or 30 minutes to configure all the knob and pieces they allow you to change. This will pay off down the road.

I'd rather it came in a cheaper box with better lever hardware.
It's okay. The two really poor aspects of this rig are the clamp and the lever nuts with low quality washers. It strikes me that the Aputure could tremendously improve the product by increasing the cost a small amount to cover better washers for all the lever nuts. A couple of washers might help the grindy feel of the clamp too. Since one of this rig's features is the flexible configuration options, the adjustment levers are the one thing you'll use the most and they're lousy out of the box. Yes, you can improve the rig but how much is your time worth? There's a video on YouTube showing several improvements one fellow suggests to make the rig better, but the parts he replaced cost more than twice as much as the unmodified rig. A couple of bucks worth of better washers will improve this rig (M6 size).

A decent little rig
Unlike Zacuto, this is well priced. This rig's function is to steady your shots and it works. I'm going to use this when I can't take a larger rig.One star removed because as stated in another review the base plate you mount your camera to is not well designed. My safety side pin does hold the release plate in but the tightening screw is crap and doesn't tighten well (slight movement if you try to push it) because the rubber grip on the knob starts rotating on its own. 5 seconds of use and a c ring and end cap fell out of the knob end.But ya know this isn't meant to support all the weight. It's to steady the cam against your chest as you shoot. But when I stick my $3000 DSLR on this I'm gonna hold the camera not the handle just in case. For sixty five more bucks I might replace with the Zacuto gorilla plate. All in all that's still seven hundred less than the Striker.

Great Buy
This is a serious piece of equipment to be so small and inexpensive. I can fold it up and put it in my backpack and it works like a charm. No assembly was required either.
