This is an absolutely STUNNING case! This case is very well made and perfect for displaying a collection. We had to return the product because it was more suited for a collection whereas we need something more suited to displaying products in markets. If you have a beloved collection...get this case!

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much when seeking a secondary display case for my fountain pens. I had tried a couple of different options that left me dissatisfied but figured I would give it another shot. I'm glad I did. For the price, I was expecting something light and flimsy that could work until I'm ready to spend more to get a second wood display case. This Lifomenz case removes the need. The first thing I noticed was that the case was extremely well-packaged. The outer box had a hole poked in it, but the inner box and its interior padding prevented any harm to the case itself. Upon lifting the pen case, I was surprised by the heft. It feels solid and well-made. The hidden hinges work well and provide a high-end feel. The heavy-duty top tray easily holds all my pens without problem, from a small Pilot E95s to a chunky Benu Euphoria. The built-in bottom tray provides the same range. Bottom line, I was looking for a temporary solution and stumbled on a permanent fix. Highly recommended.

This is for the ebony Lifomenz 20 pen case. It’s thoughtfully packaged and includes a card that can be used when gifting someone the box. It’s made from MDL with an ebony veneer. I am unsure if the veneer is truly ebony wood or a finish but it looks very nice. The box is heavier than it looks and is unlikely to get knocked off a table because of its heft. Unlike many other boxes I looked at, the hinges are solid and not likely to break. Pen slots are velveted to protect pen finishes. All hardware is stylish and chrome finished. The box lays flat but some flannel coasters on the hinge side should give it an angle should you want one. The window gives a nice view of my pens (Sheaffer, MB, Parker, etc.). The overall effect is one of quality, restrained beauty, and it serves a practical purpose quite well. I had my doubts when purchasing this but I’m thoroughly impressed.

I wanted a box to protect and display my pens. I opened this, and was delighted by the look of the wood, the weight of the box, the make of the inside and the trays. It fits my Sailor King of Pen size, the M1000 from Pelikan and the MontBlanc 149 but pens longer than those need to go into the lower tier. For the price, this box is a steal and I can wholeheartedly recommend.

I am a fountain pen fanatic. I was looking for a nice box since I have recently received the bulk of my Dad’s pen collection and wanted a good place to store/display them. This box had great reviews, so I gave it a try. It was pricey, but I thought it wasn’t so bad for a real wood box. So let me first start by saying that was my main disappointment with this box: it is NOT, in fact, real wood. It is nice looking, but I am a Forester, and I know actual wood when I see it - and because I am a Forester, I very much prefer actual wood products - and this is NOT real wood. It is not even wood veneer (as some previous reviewers claimed). You can easily tell if you look at it with a hand lens, because actual wood is not made up of tiny dots of pigment. With that said, I still rank this box as 4 stars because it is weighty/sturdy with nice hardware and smooth action when opening and closing. The trays are nice also. So overall it is nice box, just not the real wood I was hoping for. I went back and combed through the fine print of the listing and I should have realized it was not going to be real wood (so that is on me), but I do think their advertising is a bit misleading and you can see from other reviews that other customers were also under the impression that this was either solid wood or veneer (which, again, I assure you that it is neither). So they should be more up-front in their write-up.

This display box is really well made and it is quite beautiful. For the price, it pretty impressive. It offers plenty of space for my (growing) fountain pen collection and I'm happy to finally have somewhere secure to keep my pens!

I have acquired a small collection of nice pens - Montblanc, Cartier, Lamy - and I wanted a display case to house them. The price was right and so I wanted this case to work. I am happy to report the case exceeded my expectations. It is weighty, sturdy, and accomplishes its goal supremely well. I am rarely pleasantly surprised, but this did it. A great pen case all around. Highly recommended.
