I originally purchased this for my daughter to help get her kick right. I also purchased one bicycle flags for targets. I took the flags and placed them in the ground at different angles so the flag part is 2 feet , 4 feet off the ground. Then had her stand back far enough that she could aim and try to hit the targets. This had really improved her kicking and knowing when and how to position herself and her foot to get the ball where needed. This worked so great I purchased 3 more to keep in my coaches bag and I now have my team use these during practices. The trainer itself I would say is geared more for youths. The waist band does not go around my waist and I usually wear a 32 or 33 waist in jeans. For my youth U11 team they work great with a lot of room left over if needed. They fit our size 4 balls with no issues at all. So far the elastic has held up very well and I have not had any fraying or damage at all. Yes they will twist up almost immediately but that does not really hurt anything while using them. I always straighten them out and inspect after ever practice to ensure no issues arise. These also help for learning how to receive a ball and trap it. Like I tell my kids, the harder you kick the quicker and harder it will be coming right back at you so be prepared. Overall these are great so any soccer player looking to improve in their skills. A quick and easy way to get more touches.

Was a bit tough for 8 year old to put soccer ball in alone, but once he figured it out it was fine. Lost the thrill and prefers the wall. But I’m sure it would be excellent for older training specific needs! My older kid tried for volleyball but it is a bit too velcro heavy for the arms.

Bought for my daughter for training dribbling and kicking. She has been using it a few times a week and likes being able to kick the ball without having to chase it. It seems to be holding up and shows no signs of breaking.

This is so much fun, the “neoprene like” material is not durable at all. Mine ripped at one of the seams the first day I got it. While it still works, it’s a bummer and I as a result I try to be more careful. It’s very relaxing though. Also with the cord would stay tightened up to a short length. While you still must wrap it around your fingers to play with, the “buckle” to make the string as short as possible ALWAYS loosens up. No biggie I guess... but it does impact the consistency of your kick. At the end of the day I give it a 5/5 starts for it’s relaxation and entertainment factor. I give it a 2/5 for improving your juggling skills (best to not use this to improve juggling). I give it a 5/5 for improving the consistency and variation of different kicks (great toll for this). The bummer is the neoprene is not super durable-however I suppose more durable than many others. Just be sure to snuggly fasten you ball into it and don’t be bummed if it starts to tear when you first start using it.

This does its job. My son doesn’t really love it but he doesn’t hate it. It’s easy to take on and off. It’s a little big for him. He is 9. I’m not a soccer player so can’t speak too well to it but my husband was able to use and it did great. So maybe a learning curve, but that’s the point from what I can tell. Use it to learn a skill that I can’t do. It’s fun but hard to master.

This was recommended to my grandson by an international soccer coach, for skills development, especially because the ball is a smaller size which helps to train both feet for kicking accuracy. My grandson LOVES it. He has noted his skills improvement, as have his soccer coaches.
