Does the warranty cover the stripped threads?

You should contact the Coast. I have not had to warranty my light in any way so far.

Do not know but it has a very bright focused "inspection" beam made for closer use. It works very well in that situation.

The description says 2hr 30min run-time, but other sites say 12hr 30min run-time. Which is accurate? Even Coast website says 10hr run-time. thanks

I'm not sure but I know mine seem to run and run and run. They get left on in my pocket, they get left on under the sink. These are great lights, you will not be disappointed. I have given several as gifts and everyone is impressed.
