2,500$ Tempurpedic..
Newest and Final Update (6/23)... It's been 3 and a half years now!! I'm 50 now and about 180 pounds(it's Menopause lol). Hubby is over 200. This mattress still has no lumps, no bumps. It still is looking and preforming like it was when we got it;almost 4 years now!! I think some people just got a dud or something!! And everybody's idea of "soft or firm" is going to be different obviously based on age, weight, bad joints ECT. I actually came here because I am considering the King Size one!! So just checking out recent reviews!! (My Original Review :) We currently have the first generation 2,500$ Tempur Pedic Mattress, bought in the mid-2000's. It is an amazing mattress! However, we're in our 40's now, and we needed something a bit firmer. We got this mattress for a Guest Room, like a lot of other Reviewers here.. However when it came.. I quickly changed my mind! Yes, it IS pretty firm! So, younger people may not like it, find it as comfortable. They'd probably choose our Tempur Pedic over this. But I think it's a great mattress, and a great price. There was absolutely NO odor when we opened it. None. Also, it inflated immediately. We ordered the 10 inch based on our Tempur Pedic, which currently measured about 7 inches thick. So we thought, we'll get the extra 2/3 inches because this is a no-name/cheap mattress. It was hitting 7 inches within 15 mns of cutting off the plastic! Within an hour I re-measured, it was about 8 on the sides, and 9 on the head and foot area. It looks like that's where it's gonna stay, about 8/9 inches. But again, that's still more than our 2,500$ bed. When we sit on our Tempur Pedic, it goes down to about 3 inches. When we sit on this new one, it barely goes down! But it is absolutely still a soft/comfortable mattress, just a firmer one. I'm pretty thin, and I still didn't feel any 'pressure' in the normal areas, like you would with a cheap/old/bad mattress. Shoulders, ribs, hips, ect. It felt fine. I'm more than happy with this purchase and the price! Just an FYI, if you plan to put this on a metal frame/anything with slats, ect.. It's a good idea, to go to Home Depot/Lowe's, and buy a few Large moving boxes, the cheap cardboard ones. You can cut them and duct tape them together to make a base to set on the frame, under the foam mattress.. Obviously this isn't for your weight support, but it does help support and protect your mattress, from age lines/grooves/damage from the slats in the frame. And it's cheaper than a bunky -board. EDIT : We're in November now.. Still LOVE this mattress, no complaints. Just for reference, I spent hours, days actually, reading Reviews, comparing prices, quality, ect before I bought this. I was scared as well, like many others have said, buying a bed I couldn't actually see/feel/lay on. I can honestly say, I'm happy I went with this one. My apologies that I can't offer a longer term view on this. I will try to remember to come back in 6 months or so, and Update for people. UPDATE 12/2020: STILL A GREAT MATTRESS AFTER A YEAR,NO COMLAINTS!

Is this what a cloud feels like?
No marks, No stains, No "funny smells" I have seen reviews with stains, smells, tears, etc. I experienced a wonderful product, wrapped SUPER tight, and the "funny smell", well new product smell? is all I smelt. Although I was weary thinking this thing may smell after reading some comments, IT DOES NOT! So it has been 36 hours since the arrival of my mattress. Unboxing was a breeze (and I liked they included a letter opener to not damage the mattress with a knife) I rolled it out and let it start its thing. I read a review where someone got theirs to fully expand in 13 hours? I believe, and that was my goal. I put a fan facing the mattress, opened a window, and let it go. 5 hours passed and I was surprised to see it looked almost fully expanded I was ecstatic, and ready to feel this thing, but I waited. About 10 hours passed and I was getting tired, the wife was already sleeping on the couch, I checked on the mattress and it didn't look like much had changed since the 5 hour mark, but I said I don't even care I laid on it... just to feel it, and next thing I know my wife's waking me up in the morning asking why am I sleeping on this before it's ready. Oh yeah I did it and it was SOOOO comfy xD. So now as a write this, I still don't believe it is fully expanded (36 hours), it's almost there but there is still a little sag to the container or what ever we call it. Although I don't know if it's supposed to be tight or not once fully expanded (seems like it would be). But that will not detour me from writing to let you know this is a GREAT mattress, not too cheap, yet not too pricey, and the MOST comfortable bed I have ever slept in, being not too firm, yet not too soft, and conforms to your body like a glove, you really don't even need a pillow for this unless your propping up. I am going to restrain from sleeping in this again until it has been its complete 72 hours or what ever it said, but I can tell you if you purchase this, you will not regret it.

Flashy memory foam. Comfy, but no lumbar support.
It's a foam mattress with nice dressing, which keeps the kids from tearing it apart. Should last a long time. I wish it had some lumbar support, but it at least helps soften up a hard bed.

Outstanding Comfort - Great Value
For most people, moving the box the mattress is shipped in, unpacking the mattress and moving the mattress itself will be a two-person job. Fortunately, my son lives nearby and was able to assist. That being said, otherwise unpacking and setting up the mattress was easy. We placed it atop the similar sized mattress in our guest room fr three days to allow it to take shape before moving it to our bed. The mattress appears to be very well made with nice attention to detail. Note: the heavy plastic wrap in which the mattress arrived was useful for sliding the mattress [on its side] from the guest room to the master bedroom. Once on our platform bed the 10" mattress was easy to handle and the bed was easy to make. We placed a "Heated Mattress Pad Underblanket Dual Controller for 2 Users Soft Flannel 10 Heating Levels & 9 Timer Settings Fast Heating, Queen" atop the mattress and under the fitted sheet because my wife likes to sleep warm. We replaced a 10-year old 12" memory foam mattress which had become uncomfortable with the new mattress. Neither my wife or I had any significant difficulty adjusting to the new mattress and both of us experienced improved comfort and sleep which has continued over the two months we have used the new mattress. From my vantage point, this mattress is a tremendous value in comparison with similar mattresses sold in mattress and department stores. You will have to figure out how to dispose of your old mattress. I will pay to have it hauled away with some other items we no longer need, but it's still a great bargain.
