100 All-Time Favorite Movies of the 20th Century

Gift for a friend. They were more than happy. Had a Flick through and it seemed rich in information and of good quality. Sorted.

I bought thus for my granddaughter as she is studying film at Uni. She said it was an excellent book.

Nice book. Only minor quibble is the image and reviews mention a dust jacket and image has a ribbon page marker, neither of which my edition has. Is lovely book, but as it is a gift, those two things would have added to the significance

Perfect book for classic film lovers!

Another outstanding volume from Taschen. Each of the 100 classics receives about 8 pages of review containing cast and credits, full page foyer poster and lavish photographs. Written reviews are brief but expertly worded. Any film fan should own it and at £12, you'll feel like you stole it.

This is a really good reference to use for film classics, even if you are a film lover, chances are there are a few here you haven't seen yet. It's also nice just for something to flick through for an interest. Naturally, there is only so much space in one book for covering film classics of the 20th century. So there are lots of incredible films absent from this list. That said you can't really go wrong with Taschen. Solid purchase.

Great book if you want to fill gaps in your knowledge of cinema. Well illustrated with images from the movies selected.

El libro está bien ilustrado, pero la letra es demasiado pequeña, en realidad, es minúscula. Además, muchas críticas de las películas que trata se limitan a describir la sinopsis, sin entrar mucho en los detalles técnicos.
