Keeps safe dry.
They work fine. Keeps safe dry inside to prevent rust. Don't get hot enough to burn. Was able to feed the cord through hole in base of safe and the attach plug.

Great product but information confusing
Product easy to setup and works well. The instructions say "not to use near explosives' but this is very strange since it is designed to be inside a gun safe where ammunition is also stored. It only increase temperature by a few degrees and does reduce humidity so I ignore that part of the instructions. You decide what to do for yourself.

Humidity Level
Unit was shipped on time and received in good condition. As soon as plugged in, it warmed. I live in SE Georgia. I have a Liberty fat boy jr. The safe is in my office. I have 2 low cost hygrometers in the office showing about 70% (high for an A/C controlled atomosphere). The interior of the safe is 78 degrees F and humidiy is 58%. I may have to calibrate my hygrometers to determine accurate humidity.

Have bought another
Dehumidifier rod sits in bottom of safe just inside door. Keeps humidity below 20% on humid days. This is my 2nd of this type. Never in the way. 1st one lasted 7+ years.
