Can I just say... NOM NOM NOM?
I'm a new convert to fish sauce, and quickly found a huge gap between good ($) fish sauce and bad fish sauce. This is the good one, and only one we buy now.

Best fish sauce I ever found in the US
I used to buy cheap fish sauce in the supermarket but those have a bunch of ingredients with chemical names that I don't understand.This Red Boat one has only 2 simple ingredients: anchovy fish and salt. Its taste is authentic and perfect for cooking Vietnamese food. This is what fish sauce is supposed to be like.

The best fish sauce!
Only complaint is that it is bottled in plastic. However, this is the best fish sauce and Samine Nosrat's favorite (Salt, Fat, Acid,Heat)

Nice smooth flavor
Unlike the cheap stuff you find on most store shelves, that slams you with salt and pungent flavor. This has a smoother and more well rounded flavor profile.When I cook something or make a dipping sauce that calls for fish sauce, I use this.I still keep a bottle of the cheap stuff for some things, like making Caesar dressing as it keeps far longer than anchovies.

Best Umami fish sauce!
I LOVE this fish sauce! If you want to add umami to your everyday meal, this fish sauce is it! Any dish that requires anchovies, like pasta, soups, caesar salad dressing, etc., I add a little splash of this fish sauce and it is umami heaven. The sauce is so versatile with incredible deep rich fish sauce flavor. Yum! It is made with anchovies, small fish, for those with certain restrictions. I switched to this fish sauce from another brand because of the anchovies at first, but the flavor is the part that really shines!

Best fish sauce ever
This is the best deal we found for Red Boat. The large bottle is a little cumbersome but we use a lot of fish sauce so it's nice to have it on hand.

It's in a Plastic Bottle
I love Red Boat Fish Sauce, so this is just about the packaging. I should have read the fine print more closely, so it's my own fault, but now I have a lot of Fish Sauce in a bottle that's probably leaching toxins in with the contents. I had previously purchased a glass bottle the same size, and just assumed it was still in glass. I will confirm for all future purchases.
