Exactly as described. As an avid sailor I have been using waxed “sail threat” for decades (and I won’t say how many!). It is great for making small repair in sturdy fabric - canvas, sail cloth, etc. it is also excellent for securing the ends of rope or securing splices. OK, enough sailor lingo. If you are looking for very heavy duty thread for anything, this is the stuff you should try.

The thickness was perfect for whipping 3/8" sailing lines. I am very glad that I made sure that I bought waxed twine. It was very easy to use.
