Calculus- Vol.1 Paperback – January 1, 1991

This calculus book is probably a rare gem among other math books. Almost every other calculus math textbooks, be it Stewart's Calculus, Larson's Calculus, or Thomas's Calculus, are extremely dry and provide almost no proof at all. Apostol's books will truly help you gain a deep understanding of calculus. I have started reading this book and it is amazing. If you also watch 3b1b on YouTube, it will really give you different perspectives on mathematics and the world.

Unlike some of the scanned copies you can get over the internet, the printing is very clear and precise. There is no occasional smearing of text. The binding is also very good. This is an excellent value.

Great value, the print is somehow small...

Great classic, I used this for review (it's easy to forget if you're not using it often), so I'm not sure my opinion is good for someone learning the material for the first time. Integrals are treated first, which threw me off a bit, I think most texts cover derivatives first these days.

this book is small and poorly printed. if you can, buy the hardcover as this book is quite good besides.

Student advanced learning

The negative review is caused only by the bad ink used in this print.I have not read the whole book and it is probably as good as others have said.The print in the books that I received however is very bad. It leaves a smudge on my fingerswhen touching the text. The ink and paper reminds me of a newspaper. I have not seen this in any book that I own.
