Great Chair! Compact for storage, comfortable to sit in.
So... It is 'challenging' to open and close, but only at first. A little practice and it is a breeze. Trickiest bit is opening. Follow the directions and be sure you pull it all the way up before you spread it apart. Keep upward tension so the telescoping legs don't slide back down. You can't spread the seat if the legs aren't fully extended.Even with this I think they are easier to operate than the standard folding camp chairs and much easier to put in the bag.Comfort - That is such a personal thing it is hard to say for everyone. But do be advised that the seat height is fairly low so not great for anyone over about 6 feet or who has problems rising. No real place to rest your arms so that could be a negative if that is important to you.

Great chair
I use mine for canoe camping, and van traveling. The carry case is excellent for camping, but otherwise a nuisance. The chair itself is very comfortable, and is roomy enough for me. There is a bit of a learning curve to opening and closing it, but once you get it, it's fine. I held off buying this for a long time, beacuse it seems very expensive for a folding outdoor chair. That said, it offers good value given its comfort and sturdiness.

A great investment
A friend had a GCI chair that was well built and comfortable so I looked up the brand. Initially I had reservations about spending $110 on a folding chair, but the last folding camp chair I had for over 20 years before I lost it, so I decided cost wasn’t a factor. I wanted something compact, packed well, and was comfortable. I like that this can seat me at a normal height so I can sit at a table and still eat. I am an engineer and love and appreciate how it all folds together in a super space efficient way.

I liked the original much better but this should last as long
GCI Outdoor continues to be the first company I turn to for camping furniture. The new Pico chair is well made, comfortable and relatively easy to transport, but I much prefer the original as it was smaller, lighter, just as sturdy, far less bulky. The original also had a briefcase style grab handle, the new one does not and it's sorely missed - I'm not a fan of shoulder straps and that's all you get with Pico II. The carrying bag is bulky, takes more time to put the chair in the bag than it does setting it up or tearing it down, but you have no choice and must use it. It's really a nuisance, and a rare surprise from GCI. 5 stars all around if it weren't for this.

Great compact camping chair
We got a pair of these for our camper van and they fit perfectly in the available storage behind the passenger seat. They're far more comfortable than the typical camp chairs and fold up more compactly. Build quality is excellent, and it comes with a nice travel bag. The one thing I would add if I could is a carry handle on the bag (it does have a shoulder strap).

Looks sturdy but the plastic frame breaks
Great chair until it collapses and is unusable. Lasted four years but once the “X” frame separates the sliding legs collapse and appears to be unfixable. The part that separates is the plastic X frame where all the stress is. I wish they would have spent less money on the very expensive carrying bag and more on the support structure. A very expensive folding chair that now only folds up and wont stay up so its going into the trash. Low value when it lasts only a couple years of use.

Compact and comfort
This folding chair is by far the best folding chair I’ve ever purchased. In our RV we must make a good use of every inch of space. This chair has a nice design that allows whole chair to be folded down to a compact size and very sturdy and comfortable when you sit on it. The only little drawback is that it’s a bit on the heavy side but that’s why makes it so sturdy. I purchased one first and really liked the compact size of it so immediately purchased another one.

Compact and stable.
Great chair for overlanding and camping if space is at a premium, and you like a sturdy, full size and height chair. Comfortable to sit in, the setup and takedown is uncomplicated and easy. I’ve been using mine for frequent camping and overlanding trips since purchasing and have been really happy with it. I’ve gone through several less expensive chairs over the years, this one is well worth the price.
