Scratch Mat Left Armrest

Why did you choose this product over others?: Brilliant, fits my sofa perfectly and allows my cat to have a good scratch and a stretch and not wreck the sofa. It also looks good and I’ve since recommended it to friends.

All good, it’s good quality and protects our new sofa.

So good I bought another one for the other side of the sofa. Looks better than expected and actually blends quite well with our sofa's colour. Kittens like scratching it but it could do with the top of the arms also being covered closer to the front. It doesn't move when they are scratching it and stays firmly in place.

I actually bought this after (erroneously) buying the wrong side, and it works so well - and my cat loves violence so much - that I didn't try and swap it, I just got the right one too. The first one had a STRONG chemical smell that the second one didn't, but they're both good quality and unique at what they do. My cat is sad that clawing the sofa no longer gets him attention, and is experimenting with other furniture. I have recommended it to my friends. Brb, he's clawing the wardrobe...

Ideal in theory, but the cats will not use it!

I had doubts whether my cat would actually use this, but am pleased to report that after a day or two of getting used to it he now uses it all the time. We just got one for one arm of one of our two sofas to start off with. He uses this frequently and hardly ever scratches the other arms, so we haven't felt the need to buy more. Just a note on the left/right versions as I found it a bit confusing: the "left" version is for the left arm from the perspective of sitting on the sofa (i.e. the right arm when you are standing in front of the sofa looking at it!). Also, I had to extend one of the cords with a length of string to allow me to tie it properly around the rear of our sofa, but that was no big deal.

Fits the sofa really well, but is very stiff so difficult to attach smoothly, it also has a very strong smell. Hopefully these will both go away with time. It could do with a top cover as well to give better coverage

En realidad la gata no lo usa como rascador pero al menos dejó de maltratar el sillón. El producto se ajusta al tamaño del mueble, sí lo recomiendo.

Bien, bien. Tiene un sistema de velcro muy práctico que se abraza muy bien al sillón por la parte de arriba. Por la parte de abajo es un poco más complicado el sistema de cintas que van amarradas a las patas; su efectividad dependerá de la relación de distancia entre las patas. Sin embargo las cintas también cuentan con velcro y eso ayuda mucho a generar la tensión necesaria. En mi caso y como se aprecia en las fotos, lo usé en un sofá-cama, que es algo grande, por lo que el artículo no quedó 100% sujeto y tenso en la parte de abajo. Aún así quedó bastante bien (ya pasó la primera prueba de ataque felino) y estoy segura que lo podré resolver. En un sillón standard debe quedar perfecto.
