The Norton Anthology of English Literature: The Twentieth Century and After

I had very few of the pieces included in this anthology, and enjoyed seeing 20th century Brit Lit in depth. It also doubles as a fine, heavy weapon, even though it's PAPER bound!

Before each section there is a brief bio of the author so it helps to understand their writing.

For what it cost me to rent it, was totally worth it.

very good collection

This edition takes into account reasonably recent trends in canon formation. It is an inviting work tool which I will use for the first time with students of Contemporary Engl. Lit next semester. The complementary on-line information seems also very helpful but I've not so far had the opportunity to explore it as much as I would have wanted to.
