I give this bag a 5-star rating, not because it's the best bag I've ever seen, but for the price you pay, it's WELL worth it. The outside nylon seems very sturdy, and sure there isn't a ton of foam padding, but it's enough to offer a little bit of protection. Chances are that if you're buying this, you don't exactly have a $1000+ guitar. I actually like the fact that it's a little bit on the smaller side, it fits my Epi Les Paul Special II perfectly. I actually love the fact that the bag is just right, as then the guitar won't slide around too much inside the bag, it's a nice snug fit. I'm not a hard core gigger, so this bag is perfect for bringing to work, play with friends etc...

Good quality for a great price. The materials and construction are high quality and durable. Fit is... huge. I don't know if there was a change in sizing or if people complaining about it being short for a bass actually got a guitar bag, but a full size P-bass flops around in this with a ton of extra room. It easily would fit a 48-49" instrument, or an oversize/semi-hollow body instrument.

Well made from rugged materials with a large, sturdy zipper, but the padding is pretty thin. But to be fair, the thick, plush gig bags I own cost twice as much, so for the price, it's a really good deal. My Kramer Baretta, Ibanez RG321 and Epiphone SG all fit well with a couple of inches of headstock room to spare.

A lot of guitar and bass manufacturers are no longer including hard cases or gig bags, in an effort to cut costs. This Gator gig bag is a surprisingly good value, and I was impressed with the fit and finish. It doesn't offer a whole lot of padding, but it's certainly a better gig bag than I have seen included with many budget instruments (those that still include a bag at all). one thing I would mention though to anyone with a long-scale neck on a standard bass, is that this is a really tight fit for a Fender P-Bass, for example.

Extra protection for my bass. Every week I carry my Ibanez SR405E to practice on Wednesday and church on Sunday. It gives the extra protection I need. The material is heavy enough that I feel confident with it. It is a little oversized for my bass, but I understand it is more of a universal, one size to fit most.

I liked quality but there should be more padding
