Absolutely stellar expansion of your world and even better supplement for the players
This book absolutely OOZES (pun intended) creativity and absolutely stellar options. It has a little bit of everything I could want. At first, I thought it was just going to be a handful of expansive warlock pacts, which it is, but also SO MUCH MORE. Every single Patron comes with a complimentary other subclasses, unique magic items from the patron, as well as a RACE; each one incredibly flavorful and very well balanced. My DM actually has something very very very akin to the Ashen Wolf in his game, and this made him absolutely giddy. The book is a hair more expensive than other official material, but for the quality of work in the book and for the sake of supporting other creators, it was worth every single penny. I sincerely hope to see more from the author in the future.

Amazing book with tons of fun way to spice things up!
I've used this book in almost every D&D session I've been in since I bought it. Lots of fun content with tons of warlock options, along with several subclasses for the others classes as well. Not all of the patrons are strictly gods, some are a sentient citadel or even magical money! Each patron brings with it a unique experience to any campaign and I've enjoyed the various subclasses and patrons it has offered so far. Each patrons also introduces new unique items and invocations to play around with. There's also the sentient magic item subclasses which can be tons of fun if you have the right group for it. Just don't expect to interact with the world as much as you normally would.

One of the best 5e supplements
This supplement for 5e is probably the best third party supplement I’ve read so far. It has new spells, invocations, familiars, and even subclasses for those that want to choose another class. The book even goes as far to give an option for wisdom and intelligence based warlocks!I can’t say enough good things about the content of this book. While it’s mainly based on the warlock class, I would recommend this supplement to everyone interested in expanding their 5e world. Each patron has so much to offer for DMs and players alike.Despite all of the fantastic content inside, I do have one complaint about the printing of the book. The pages aren’t all aligned properly and some of the page numbers are cut off. Other than that, you can’t go wrong with the purchase. I’d say it’s a 4.9 out of 5 stars.

Excellent for any Warlock (but especially Pact of the Chain)!
I've played plenty of Warlocks through the years, and I just recently got some downtime with my latest character. Thinking that it might be a good time to change some things up (but having already played out nearly all of the other patrons), finding this book gave me a chance to be excited about a new build again. The new patrons are diverse, deeply detailed, and add great depth to your world. The new invocations allow more ways to have each Warlock really shine in a unique, never-before-seen way, and the new familiars are a GREAT boon to any Pact of the Chain player (seriously, how many times can we see every Warlock break out an Imp or Quasit on repeat?). Add in some new magic items, the Alrisen, sentient magic item characters, AND new subclasses for the other 5e classes (sorry Blood Hunter and Artificer; at the time of publication, you didn't exist yet)...I mean, this book seriously covers all the bases.Do yourself (or your nearest and dearest Warlock-playing friend) a favor and get this book. Just be ready for an "Oops, All Warlocks" campaign or two in your future.

Very impressively comprehenisve
This book is, in its writing, quite unique and creative. The abilities are fun and flavourful. There is great depth and scope in the amount of what is added as well. Not only are there 17 new warlock (subclasses) but there are parallel non-warlock subclasses for other classes which match up thematically. There are new races, new magic items, and very fun spells. Including a cantrip which can act as a shocking touch attack, or a defribrilator to someone making death saves. And a 9th-level spell, Armaggedon (named after a Biblically prophesied battlefield at the end of the world, where those who are not sealed by Christ's forgiveness of their sins by repenting of them and trusting in him, gather and fall) which, while not as devoustating as its namesake, can annihilate any structures in a 1 mile radious, dealing 30d10 damage to everything living, and an additional 4d10 damage per round for the next to months to anything in the crater, leaving the caster permanently blinded, and with 5 levels of exhaustion. All in all, this book makes the official products feel under thought out. The only reason it is not 5 stars is limitations in the print itself, which is fairly good, but not amazing.I do reccomend your group has at least one copy of this book floating around.

I rarely review, but I will for this amazing book!
I rarely review items on Amazon ("who actually reads them?"), but for this amazing book I will.I won't lie. After finding a link to the the abridged copy on Reddit and reading through it, I immediately bought this exclusively for the Wild Huntsman patron. It fit the Gloomstalker/Warlock I wanted to create for my first Curse of Strahd playthrough PERFECTLY! This isn't to say the other inventive subclasses aren't also worth your purchase of the Compendium of Forgotten Secrets: Awakening, because they are just as creative and fully-featured as the Wild Huntsman. Each warlock patron features subclass options for a single other non-warlock class (The Wild Huntsman, fittingly enough, is for the Ranger class), and include incredible details on how to implement the patron in your campaign, as well as fun patron-inspired item rewards.I cant express how happy I am with this book. I immediately foisted it upon the DM for my CoS campaign and after thumbing through a copy himself he remarked how feature-complete it was for not just Warlocks but other classes as well. I HIGHLY recommend picking this book up.It's honestly my favorite third-party 5e supplement to date.
