I looked at many different types of humidors in style and storage capacity and I always came back to this one. I can't believe no one has taken additional pictures of this humidor yet (I looked everywhere for more pics and no luck), so I decided to post 11 of them. I was a little hesitant in ordering this beautiful piece of art deco due to lack of pictures, but have to say that now I ordered it, I'm glad I did.Once I opened the package, I was definitely shocked. The humidor was packed very well and is crafted nicely, with significant attention to detail. I'm pretty particular in the detail department and for me, this passed with flying colors. The stock hygrometer will work, once you calibrate it by doing the "salt test." Fill a plastic bottle cap of regular table salt, moisten with distilled water (don't saturate it where water is sitting on top), and place the cap and hygrometer in a zip lock bag for about 4 hours. At the four hour mark, set it to 75% Rh and you are all set. I didn't use the green foam humidifier in black casing that comes standard with this humidor, as I wanted something a bit more advanced for such a beautiful piece of art. Initially I ordered a humidifier from another company, but have since ordered a crystal bead humidifier from XIKAR. Their system is the 250ct Crystal Humidifier and runs about 25 bucks. It will also remove excess humidity if your humidor gets TOO humid. This is as equally important as keeping your humidor from not having ENOUGH Rh. As a precaution, I also ordered a XIKAR digital hygrometer (with a lifetime warranty) and also calibrated that by using the "salt test." I wanted a digital hygrometer for that "just in case" situation and something I could just glance at without opening the top lid. I mounted the XIKAR unit on the front of the top drawer for easy viewing. Both of these products (Rh system & digital hygrometer) mount with magnets, not the cheap velcro included with the standard hygrometer. As far as seasoning the humidor, I do not recommend the "wiping down method." If you are not careful, it is possible to warp the wood by over saturating it with too much water. Personally, I recommend filling a small bowl of distilled water and letting it sit inside the humidor for 1-2 weeks. That way, the cedar will absorb the right amount of moisture and nature can take it's course naturally. Rome wasn't built in a day, and your humidor shouldn't be seasoned in one either!Once I set and calibrated everything, I have an EXQUISITE and very functional humidor to store all of my fine cigars and then some. I placed a few cigars in the humidor (see my pics) to give you a scale view, and now it's time to place all 80 of my favorite cigars in this marvelous show piece. You won't be disappointed as I have looked at MANY humidors including this one, and always came back to it.I will post updates as needed.6-18-2013 Update: I was able to place 75 Churchill cigars in my humidor. For the bottom three shelves, I left a cigar width opening in the middle so that Rh could circulate throughout. If you fill the drawer completely, you would get 11 Churchill cigars from left to right. Leave one out and go 10 cigars wide, that way you have an opening in the middle for proper air circulation. With this method, my humidor has stayed in the 67-72% Rh range. Refer to the last picture I posted. I absolutely love this humidor.

Not the best not the worst
Huge gap in the bottom seam in the back. I used a peice of tape to seal it and it is working fine. Aside from questionable assembly it has worked out fine.

Not sure about capacity!
Nice humidor, well built and very attractive. Be aware it will be a real stretch to fit in 200 cigars of varying ring gauges and lengths. Most of my cigars are 6” x 56, and I can barely fit 130. YMMV!

beautiful product. great price.
Like the other reviews I have been looking for a great humidor at a reasonable price. I found it. Everything about it is perfect. The style, craftsmanship, design. Also shipped fast and well padded. Great company & humidor!

Slight Damage
Slight imperfection on the product (damaged corner), however still ultimately satisfactory. Aesthetically pleasing humidor.

Very good value.
It took me a very-long time to pick out a humidor. One thing that I quickly learned: there are only two price-ranges for humidors: 1)expensive, and 2)cheap. There is no middle-ground.Since I wasn't willing to fork over 1k or thereabouts or more for a fine humidor, I stuck to browsing the cheap ones, and this one caught my eye and stayed on the list until the end. Why? Look at the pic- it's a stunning piece, really: restrained, art-deco design; looks like it holds a good amount of sticks, intriguing arrangement of space. When I ordered it (from another vendor's website, actually), I expected the worst, I expected to "make do" with whatever arrived, hopefully. What came instead totally surprised me! Yes, it is made in China... but!!! It is made from very-good materials. The drawers, construction and interiors are totally Spanish cedar. I bet you are (like I was) wondering about those swinging side-compartments. Here's the deal with them: they are not part of the humidification. Each side holds EXACTLY 10 packs of cigarettes (2 cartons total). That's great if you bounce between the two smoking-products (like I do); if not, they're decent storage for odds-and-ends. They are made of Spanish cedar as well, the compartments pivot on small rods; the doors move sturdily and smoothly by piano-hinges.Now, the humidor proper: it has a good seal. The bird's-eye maple veneer is real. The rest is painted black and the whole is lacquered- and finished fairly-well. Very nice. It's a heavy piece. Each drawer (3- all of Sp. cedar) plus the top (which includes 1 divider) will comfortably hold a box of 25 cigars, generally. So... 100 in all- no matter what an ad might say. It'll hold more than that if they're a smaller ring-gauge, of course, less if larger. The air-maintenance pieces are cheap- and standard for this whole line. The humidifier is the foam-type. Do-able. I had to re-inforce the adhesive magnet with some double-sided tape to keep it from falling off, but it works well otherwise. The hygrometer is gold-colored plastic, and needed recalibration (it does have an adjustment slot, yes), and it keeps track OK. I keep a digital one in a drawer as a backup until I get an analog upgrade. My cigar-stash is now breathing and doing well in the new home after a 1.5-day, slow seasoning (necessary for any new humidor)I did one minor adjustment: the key-hole plate was installed about 1/8" higher than my liking. Easily, I removed this and drilled two new holes, and it is now perfect. This was entirely aesthetic, and not something I minded doing in the least. Overall, despite it being a product of mass-production, I am impressed by its design and use of decent materials. I am extremely happy with it, and would recommend this particular model- or any of the others in the line- to anyone. It's a fine-looking piece of furniture. Good deal.
