This book is filled with Ms. Cavanaugh's gorgeous works. It is hard to believe that she works in watercolor as the portraits and images are breathtaking

I’ve been a fan of Ali Cavanaughs Watercolors for years, but have never seen them in person. Having only viewed them on screens till today, I have to say seeing a retrospective of her work over the last decade or so, in print, is really something special. The book is a great size that allows you to really fall into the images. I found I could spend a long time looking at her pieces and get a sense of her use of color as well as the surface of the aquabord. It feels as if you are really standing in front of one of her paintings, as the vibrancy of each panel pops. There were a number of pieces in the book I had never seen before, and even the ones that I have looked at hundreds of times online, looked completely fresh in this format. There are so few artists that work in this medium that have a mastery of it that allows you to just dive into the emotion of her subjects. These pieces feel like they are glowing off of the page and I foresee that I’ll be returning to this again and again when I need to get inspired or a little lost in her work.

I have loved Ali Cavanaugh's work for years. I bought this book the day it came out, and it does not disappoint. The book is amazing quality! And it is so affordable. I had only seen her paintings on a computer screen, and now I love being able to sit with each painting.Ali is truly inspiring. I love reading her words about how her work has evolved. How her children and those around her have inspired her work. Like Daniel Maidman said in the book, "Ali Cavanaugh is the real thing."I feel that Ali is one of the greats of our time. She captures emotion and subtleties in each piece. The appeal of her work is universal as well.So, if you are an artist, an art lover, or you just love coffee table books. This will inspire you.

Exceptional presentations of this artist's artworks. Totally impressed and inspired by Ali Cavanaugh. Beautiful and emotional portraits that has the viewer discovering some of the subject's character. Well worth buying and the wait for this book for my library of art books. . One to keep coming back as a read. She has an unique technique in her artistry. Definitely recommend this as must have.

Love her work. Very nice book. I was a teeny disappointed there were not a few more of her newer and more contemporary works but still a very lovely book.

This is a GORGEOUS book! Everything about it is high quality: the hardcover, the pages, the images. I knew I would love the content since I am a huge fan of watercolor and Ali Cavanaugh in particular, but I am genuinely surprised at how beautiful the book itself is. It looks very nice sitting on my coffee table. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys watercolor or modern art.
