Perfect fix for GPU lighting
I have an Asus ROG Strix rx480 that would only light up on one end after a year or so of mining. Turns out the extended exposure to high temps cooked the fiber optic in the housing so much that it wouldn't carry the light very far anymore. This was the perfect solution. The 4mm (.16 in) diameter was a perfect fit, and forget what they say about "no side glow"; maybe the sides don't glow in broad daylight, but in a computer case, it glows along the whole length of it very nicely. One of the easiest repairs ever. The graphics card looks like new, and I couldn't be happier.

RGB on my GPU works now.
I thought the RGB on my GPU went out on me. But after some extensive online research, the original optic fiber can go bad over time. So I replaced it with this. I had to measure and then trim with just a plain old scissors. Now my GPU is working as intended with all my RGB goodness. The original optic fiber had turned all cloudy and started to crack in certain areas, that's why I had no RGB. the light had nowhere to travel. With this new one, Its really clear and light passes through it very easily.

Better than not working. But not as bright as it could be.
Seems to work well enough. It's definitely not a perfect replacement for the original, the brightness from the sides is a bit lackluster and it's it's little thin for 4mm, but it's better than what the fiber turned into after using the card for a year. Wish this was a bit cheaper, for less than 3 feet I only get 1.5 replacements and I thought the description said 3 meters. I woulda ordered a larger pack had I realized this, but thats my fault and doesn't reflect in the rating.

This fixes Nvidia GPUs with RGB LED lighting that looks like it is going bad
I have several Nvidia GPUs in my home ranging from the 1080tis, 2080tis, and 3080/3090's. All of them are from various manufacturers, Asus, Zotac, MSI, etc. Any of the GPUs that possess RGB lighting seem to utilize the same type of fiber optic cable strand that "carries" the LED lighting across the top of the GPU card. Over time this fiber optic cable turns milky white and doesn't allow the colors from the LED to bleed through. To the casual enthusiast... this appears like the LEDs on your GPU are going out. You can see in one of my photos that the PC on the left hand side has a GPU that has the red LED not passing entirely through to the left side of the GPU. While this defect is covered under every manufacture's warranty, it does require that you send your GPU to have it serviced. I came across a suggestion online that recommended swapping out the fiber optic cable. This task takes less than 15 minutes and anyone can do it. This specific plastic fiber optic glow cable was the best out of 3 that I ordered. It comes with 3.28 ft, which is enough to do a single GPU. It has been over 6 months and this fiber optic cable is leagues better than the one that came with the GPU. It still shines as bright as the first day I installed it. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to fix their "broken" GPU LED lighting.

Inconsistent media
Although this lights up using my LED source, there are flaws on both ends, so I'm disappointed with placement of the flaws.

Great replacement for OEM Fiber Optic lines
I replaced the fiber optic lines on my PC GPU with these and the color is amazing. Excellent product.

Great for strix gpu repair
Worked perfectly for repairing my strix card. Color and glow is like original but make sure you push the end of the rod up as close to the led on the card as possible to prevent bright spots. Length is enough for one card but just short for two. Also had a very strange but pleasant fruity odor that stuck around for a few days

Weak side glow.
Not worth the money for weak side glow. Do not recommend.
