Great watch, punches above its weight.
I've owned several Orient watches, this one continues their tradition of excellence. Well made, good lume, nice finishing. The rotor is a little loud, and the bezel isn't particularly 'clicky', but it does have a nice feel to its rotation. This watch stacks up nicely against Seiko/Citizen pieces 2-4 time the cost, as well as entry level Swiss such as lower tier Tissot/Hamilton/Victorinox (as long as you don't care about the swiss origin). Finishing on the entry level Swiss watches will generally be nicer, and somewhat thinner, but it depends on the model. Very pleased with it. **Oooh edit** very important- my review is for the watch itself. The bracelet is acceptable at best. Hollow end links. Kinda loud. Finished ok, but not great. I wear mine on a NATO or silicon tropic style strap and love it.

Really beautiful.
It is a fantastic watch, it is everything I expected from it and more. It is an amazing machine, for the price you pay for it. It is absolutely important to get informed and know what this watch offers you, just as it is essential to know exactly what you want. In my case I took some time to study about the different options, read different forums and opinions, to then conclude that this was the model I would want and what it offers me. This way you won't have any disappointments or inconformities. The main strengths for me: sapphire crystal, automatic, water resistance of 200 meters, luminescent, precision more than acceptable.

Great watch overall
Great for the price! Decent power reserve; I can go a day without wearing it and not have to reset the time. And it is surprisingly heavy (some consider that a downside but I like it). My only real complaint is that the bracelet is squeaky, not so bad when you're wearing it but you will notice it every now and then, and it's really bad when it's off the wrist. Keep in mind they had to cut cost somewhere and I would much rather it be the bracelet than the materials or the movement. All things considered I'm happy with my purchase!

Great every day watch
Updating after 1 year. The only two things I dislike about the watch is the time needs to be updated every month. It runs about 5.5 seconds fast per day. So it’s 2 minutes fast by the end of the month. Not a huge deal but it is annoying. The crown is hard to screw in with such tiny threads and no grip after setting the watch. The best thing I like about the watch is I’ve worn it almost every day for the last year and it has held up very well. One day at work I smacked my wrist on a concrete wall and I thought for sure I broke the face. When I looked down at my watch there was only a little scuff. I hit it so hard that the paint from the concrete wall chipped off. The sapphire Crystal has proven to be very durable, there is not a single scratch. The paint along the bezel is showing some scuffs but I’ve smacked this thing on so many different hard objects I can’t complain. The band is less durable but still good. Overall I am happy with the purchase. Non of my other watches (Bulova, Seiko, Citizen) are even close to the durability that this watch offers.

Fantastic versatile watch
I’ve had this watch for nearly two months now and have worn it nearly every day. I have not at any time exhausted the power reserve even after not wearing for over a day. My watch runs about 7 seconds fast per day which is no problem at all considering I check the watch to find the general time. I thought I would prefer a leather strap to a bracelet so I had ordered one prior to receiving it, however the bracelet is super comfortable and although it is a cheaper bracelet, it really doesn’t feel like one on the wrist. I would still recommend getting a leather band in addition because it only improves the versatility of the watch. My only gripe is that sometimes the crown can be a little bit slippery to unscrew, but seeing as I don’t need to do it often, it’s hardly a problem, I would highly recommend this watch.

The quality!
The case, the bracelet, the dial, the hands, it’s difficult to put every single detail together to make this piece awesome! Orient does it always and at a very affordable price! Thanks you Orient!

I got it for around 2700sek (~€260) and love it. Good price and quality, it's a little quick doing about +5-10 seconds every day which racks up pretty quickly. I used a third-party band for a while before going back to the included one. The included band feels pretty okay-ish, doesn't feel that special but that is to be expected for the price. Other than that, I would say this is a great watch for under €300 and would recommend anyone getting it! Don't forget to look at a couple of YouTube videos to make sure you like the dial :D

As I had recently sold a budget automatic diver, I wanted to 'invest' in a new one. And, after some research, I came across Orient's line of divers - namely the Mako/Ray II models, as well as the Kamasu that I eventually ended up deciding to buy. So let me begin by explaining why I picked the Kamasu. To be completely honest, I was much more drawn to the design of the Mako II. But the simple fact that the Kamasu provides a sapphire crystal for roughly the same price (sometimes even less), it was a no-brainer. Initially, the things that worried me were the 'yellowed' indices/hands in the photos, but in reality, especially on the black model that I have, they actually look very tasteful. Additionally, the size of the watch is truly amazing - anyone with smaller to average wrists will love it. The weight is also well-balanced - not too heavy for activities, but heavy enough to feel like the premium product that it is. Now I'll get onto the main pros/cons of the watch, starting with the cons: 1. Loud rotor: whilst this is common in Orient watches and doesn't get in the way at all 99% of the time, it is important to understand that this will be present. 2. Firm bezel: this is my first more 'premium' diver, and perhaps dive bezels are supposed to be rather firm. It is very high quality, but at first was a bit stiff to my liking. 3. Bracelet: out of the box, it was not only very squeaky and relatively annoying to adjust with its push-pins, it's quality is also undermined by the lack of solid end-links. However, when I eventually managed to adjust it to my liking and clean with soap (to remove squeakiness), its been holding up very well and just as the watch itself has really grown on me. Now onto the pros: 1. Unique, legible design: whilst this was initially one of my main concerns, I love the watch more every time I put it on. Every colour looks absolutely stunning, and it is finished very well. 2. Movement: the prestige of an in-house movement with reasonable accuracy and frequency is an absolute pleasure to bear on one's wrist. 3. Loom: although never a priority for me, it is cool to see just how powerful it is in practice. 4. Crown: although it was one of my primary concerns when i was buying the watch, it is solid and easy to use. It doesn't look or feel too small for me in reality, and the stock photos don't really do it justice. So, for the price of 200€ that I paid for this watch, you may as well pull the trigger. It won't lose its value unless damaged, and is an absolutely stunning piece to at least try out.

Great timepiece, probably best entry-level automatic diver watch. No problems with delivery, would recommend

No doubt that Orient Kamasu is an affordable dive watch with a lot of features. Nothing wrong to go with this watch if you have a humble budget.
