It's a MUST!!!!!! I won't be without it!
I will start by saying that I have purchased an *embarrassing* amount of SPF over the last year since I discovered Skincare by Hyram, then Dr Susan Yara, Cassandra Bankson and finally, the beloved DR DRAY... It also may be sparked by discovering the powers of an FSA, but let's move on shall we? ;-P I've tried a few sunscreens here and there that I've liked enough (Elta MD Tinted SPF 41, Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense, etc.)-- BUT THIS!!!!! ---- THHHIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!By watching Dr Dray I discovered Paula's Choice. When I decided to splurge on a few PC products, I was dizzied by the vast array of sunscreens to choose from and didn’t know where to start. I wanted to try them all since they all sounded good for different reasons. Dr Dray had specifically called out this sunscreen and their red “glow” sunscreen, so, to choose between the two, I decided to start with the cheapest. I figured, maybe there's a reason it's cheap. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ LOL! However, I am so glad I started here. My tween daughter will *gladly* witness to all of you that I've never been so embarrassingly smitten by a sunscreen in my entire life! (I am 38, LOL!)What I love about it:#1 -- $17.00 for FIVE OUNCES is just WONDERFUL! HAS ME OVER THE MOON!!!#2 -- It really pours out quickly and a little bit goes a long way (I do apply in LAYERS though).#3 -- It actually IS silky and matte and I can use it on my face (including the eyelids and corners of my eyes!) as well as my body. As I mentioned, I do apply in layers and I never feel greasy or heavy. It’s glorious!I love it so much that I made my mom try it too (we do this with skin care, lol) and told her that if she loves it, I will get some for her as well. She did! I actually came on here to order some more and realized I hadn't yet written a review about my newly beloved sunscreen. So, here I am! Making sure the world knows that this product is worth trying. Considering that we were paying $12.99(ish) for 3oz of Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense (body) lotion, I think $17.00 for 5oz of amazingness is great!I like to use both a chemical and a mineral sunscreen; so I start with this one and then, for my “makeup” I apply the Elta MD Tinted SPF 41. The two play together nicely. ;-)For some reason this isn’t FSA eligible, but I love it enough that it is worth buying anyway! Hope this was helpful. If even one person tries this sunscreen due to my review, and loves it as much as I have, then I am happy! *Insert glee emotion from Animal Crossing* ;-P

I love this !
I don’t know why it doesn’t have better reviews. I have purchased this several times and recommended to everyone. This is a sunscreen with active ingredients ( I can see how other people could get irritation with it! But if you keep it simple in the morning with vitamin c and moisturizer you should be fine)Is not for everyone lol it has Retinyl palmitate which I love for anti aging one of the very very few sunscreens that have some sort of vitamin A in it. The texture is great is just a dream! No white cast is a serum like consistency very light weight. You look radiant wearing it.But if u are sensitive approach with caution I have used it for the longest time is my holy grail and it does sting a little bit.

Have used for years and won't stop soon
This is my go to sunscreen from Paula. I have used it for many years and am afraid to switch. In fact, this is the first sunblock that converted me into a true daily sunscreen wearer. I have just turned 40 years old and can say I get compliments on my skin, lack of aging constantly. My best advice besides a health diet is sunscreen everyday, no matter what. For years I relied solely on the slight SPF that was provided by my makeup because everything made me itch, have acne breakouts, or burned my skin or eyes. Paula's products were a God send for my sensitive skin, which has become very dry over the past several years. I agree with other reviewers that sometimes a little "crust" will turn up in the product, but be aware that this is not coming from inside the container where the sunscreen is, but accumulates on the rim of the lid over time, where leftover product sits. I think air hits the product and causes it to dry out and so it thickens. If you don't wipe the lid off, when you turn to squirt some of the product out, this will inevitably get mixed in and make its way onto your face as an unattractive white glob. Easy fit-simply have a look at the inside of the lid and wipe with tissue when there is residue. Perhaps this could be solved by a different type of lid with a better seal, but I find this complaint so minor, and her prices so good, that I don't complain. This is called non-greasy and I find that true for my skin type but if you have oily skin you may want to order directly from paula's website where you can get sample sizes at good prices. Another great think about her products is almost everything can be sampled in smaller containers so money isn't wasted.

I don't know how to feel about this sunscreen.
I really, really wanted to like this sunscreen but the first time I used it my skin felt like I had my face on a gas stove. The burn was insane. It eventually faded but I was shocked at how bad it burned. I have very dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and a lot of skincare burns my face but it has never been nowhere as bad as that. I've used many Paula's Choice products and at least for my skin all of the moisturizers seem to really burn my skin but I've used several Paula's Choice sunscreens and luckily didn't have an issue so I was surprised with this one. It seemed to really dry my skin out as well. Also as you can see in one of the photos, the stopper that's in the cap just completely broke off allowing the very runny sunscreen to flow out. I've never dropped it or anything and I've only used it once so I have no idea how that happened.I like that you get quite a good amount for a decent price and the ingredients seem fine but I'm really annoyed that I can't just shut the lid and not worry about it making a mess. I will be trying it again in case I was just having a really sensitive skin day when I first tried it but I don't know, I'm just kinda bummed out.I can see this working well for people without sensitive skin. Probably best for normal to oily skin.
