I wanted a weather vane for my new townhome, and for a daughter-in-law for her new home--but not one that fits on a garage or house peak. And then I found this Rooster Weather Vane, and it has been perfect for its requirements. Easily insertable at ground level and sturdy enough to withstand strong winds and brightly colored so as to leave no uncertainty as to which way it is pointing, this Rooster, by fearlessly pointing its beak into the weather, tells its owners what weather is headed their way! It's a very attractive ornament for your garden or backyard, too!

This lucky charm is beautiful but, it's very fragile. It broke and a replacement has been sent to be replaced. Also it should be a little taller.

This rooster weather vane is so stinking cute. The colors are vibrant and it's so pretty in my flower bed. Two things I don't love are its somewhat short and it doesn't really work that well to show wind direction. But as a decorative item, it's adorable!

Great value for what it is! Seems sturdy enough but living on a hill in the open where we get high winds will really test the sturdiness. Beautiful coloring and simple to assemble. Good height but I wanted it to be higher up to be showcased better so I drilled holes in the top of a stump. Best decision, it's beautifully showcase now.

It looks good. It does not work very well. The pole will only go in the ground a couple of inches. This is not nearly long enough. After a few days the pole is no longer plumb. The weathervane does not work correctly when the pole is not plumb. I will have to buy another pipe to drive a couple of feet into the ground and attach this inadequate pipe to another robust pipe.

With a little customization, I mounted this on top of our chicken coop cupola. It looks great. As far as the reviews I read stating that the compass directions don't lock in, all you have to do is tighten the two sections a little tighter to lock it into place. The rooster does swivel in the wind as it just slips on top of the post and turns freely. I did add some grease to help.

While we really love the rooster weather vane, it is very small. Thought it was much larger. Assembly was a bit of a problem as the threads were damaged sliding it through the tube which it must pass through. Then there were only 2-3 threads showing, and if you are not VERY CAREFUL, you might strip the threads. I actually used a couple of toothpicks to help shore up the weak joint that was made. It's very attractive but tiny, but the design and manufacture tend to be sloppy, directions won't stay aligned correctly. Plus it in no way shows the way the wind is blowing, even up to 15-20mph. Cute, yes, my wife liked the looks enough to keep it, me, it would have been long gone back to Amazon. Quality control is absent.

The pole is very thin. The top rooster attachment sits loose, which I suppose will allow it to spin, but it doesn't sit very deep. It seems like the top rooster attachment could pop off easily. It's been windy where I live, so I will go check and see its condition. I will update this review soon.
